Worth it
If you’re like me and bought a MacBook Pro in 2022 and only have two ports on your modern laptop.. then this is the solution. It doesn’t flap around like all the weird ones, and with an all metal design it’s nice and strong. Also looks great. 100% worth it for me as a photographer.

Audio slot needs setup
Great hub, works perfectly and looks good. Its very light and easy to carry if you need to travel a lot, as it's my case. The audio slot needs a quick setup in Audio in your Mac, just choose external usb in output. I've ready many reviews saying that it doesn't work, but it's just that! :-)Super happy, Anker never disappoints!

On the whole very useful, especially for the Lightning audio connector
Pros:Allows for a variety of additional connections.Same colour as the MBP.Works well, data throughput seems decent. I've had no connection problems so far after a couple of weeks.Lightning audio connector is very helpful and means I can use my iPhone Lightning wired headphones as well as my 3.5 jack ones, so it doesn't matter which pair I have with me. Also, allows for dual audio sharing if properly set up in the Audi Midi Setup app which can be useful if two people need to connect headphones to the mac at once.Includes a useful little dust cover protective pouch.Cons:It can be a little flimsy, only a little not much. In fact, it seems to be more secure if placed upside down on the righthand side of the MBP. Not recommended if you need to use the inbuilt 3.5mm jack as it then covers it in that configuration but I suppose that flexibility is positive too! Normal placement on the left hand side allows for both audio input/outputs to be used at the same time.Improvements:Make a little sturdier when placed on the left had side. One minor improvement would be to add Ethernet if technically possible but that's a requested not an expectation.

Nifty little hub - thankfully from Anker.
Glad I bought the Anker variant!!Bought this, having read the comments left by other buyers.Stuck two fury stick feet on the Bottom to support it and perfecto!HOWEVER, lighting headphone port did not work! It never appears anywhere in any drop down to be selected.Phoned Anker support who answered straight away - agreed sounds faulty and are sending a replacement unit (not received yet) - but perfect customer service - as per my headline - glad I bought the Anker version of this hub - customer service 10 out of 10.

Anker giving power to the Macbook Pro M2 user
The device is ample for those quick travelling or moving around the office to do any presentation etc.The ports given in such a small area is great and the plethora of other access to readers helps no end if you are into the creative arts. This does allow passthrough power as well so if using it whilst having the Macbook Pro (M2) docked no issues seen there, bare the arm chipset issues with only allowing one output display from the HDMI port. (If looking for a DisplayLink software for multiple screen setup can vouch for the Anker 563 that will allow it to work.)

My third Macbookpro & first Anker adapter
This Anker adapter for brand new(ish) 14” Macbookpro (MBP 14.2 SG/8C CPU/14C GPU/512G-GBR) appears to tick all the boxes. However I shall revisit this review after having used it for a couple of weeks.Having shown this adapter… or rather the technical details of it…to a member of apple’s support staff, tho’ Apple do not endorse or include the items’ use within the Macbookpro warranty this Anker product was deemed to be more than acceptable for use with their MacBook range.I did not wish to use a cabled product ( Apple use and sell the ‘Belkin’ type on their web site… but were out of stock)…And so here I go!Having noted many of the comments in reviews here, and have trust in both Apple & Anker products I shall get my head down and put this good looking accessory to use… see you soon!BTW this product is ‘space grey’ (see photos)

Worked perfectly for the first month BUT
Pros- looks beautiful with space grey macbooks- enough ports for my use- small and easy to travel withCons- as some comments mentioned there is no support for the hub underneath except for the two USB-C connections. I put my laptop on a mount for work to keep it on eye level and after a month I noticed that the connection is really unstable. It is tight enough for the hub to be on but not enough to transmit any data. It doesn't help if I put the laptop on a flat surface either; have to put a cloth underneath to support it. This is the only way I could get it to function.- the two USB-C connectors are exposed at all times which is not the best looking...Not really a con but someone mentioned it works better if you use it on the right side of the MBP but I have a 2020 MBA with an M1 chip so that wouldn't be a solution for me
