Definitely worth it!
My main concern was the top rolling down and I even chatted with someone on the Spanx website who said that if you are in between sizes then sizing up will help prevent rolling. Even though I am losing weight, I went ahead and got the larger size. Trying it on and walking around my house I was disappointed at first because it immediately started rolling down. Loved it everywhere else so I decided to wear to work the next day with the straps to hold the top in place (pro tip: don’t try to figure out the straps when you are already running late! Took me a good five minutes searching for the second strap I swear I just had before I realized they were hooked together). Not sure if it just needed a stretching from the initial try on or if the straps did anything, but I had almost no rolling of the band wearing these for over 10 hours! I didn’t have that tummy sauna/sausage casing feeling like with cheaper brands. I am a little wary of using the opening - I got the nude color and they are almost see-through. One thing that is nice about the shorts style shapewear is that your rear end is covered in a dress - it looks like they mean for you to wear these without underwear but with the transparency and the big hole, I felt it was too risky.I was hesitant to buy these because of the expense, but then I realized that I had 3 $20 ones to return that just didn’t work for me despite rave reviews. I learned a lesson in buying quality here.I think the style is good for those with long torsos - they went all the way up without any issue and I’m normally fighting the highwaisted styles to get them in place. For reference, I’m 5’9” 180lbs size 12/14, pear shaped and I bought large.

I burned a ton of calories putting this on!
Try to imagine me trying to put these on. I get one leg in and realize I may have bitten off more than I can chew, here! Put next leg in and prepare to pull them up over my hips and realize that I CAN'T! I was so bummed. I've wanted Spanx for a long time, now I have them and they're too small. Darn! I pull them off and toss into a corner of my room, defeated. So I stare at them, crumpled on the floor as they mock me. No, I'm not going down like that. I get up to try again, whispering to these shorts that I'm gonna win! I get them on up as far as my hips and began to pull with all my might (what if I tear them!!) Stretch, pull, sweat, swear, GOT IT! They are above my poor, injured bruised hips now! But I won, so there! I got them situated around my core now, those errant (extra skin) rolls are nowhere to be seen! The tummy that housed 2 babies and lots of pizza and twinkies seems to have disappeared! Magic, I tell ya.I yanked on them pretty hard to pull them up and into place and they handled it. No tearing, no terrifying sound of a popped stitch. I love how my rolls and skin is all tucked in and smoothed out! I don't feel hot and constricted at all. There is a little trap door in the crotch for using the restroom, but I haven't been brave enough to try that.My only gripe with these is that they do roll up on the legs. I have to reposition the leg parts throughout the time I'm wearing it. But no rolling at the waist. So glad I got these and now looking forward to being able to order a Spanx tank top!

Not worth the cost
I have used other shapewear in the past, but this was my first Spanx purchase & I had high hopes. I liked the fabric. It is smoother & softer than most other shapewear. The waist band also stayed up where it was supposed to without adjustment. It's tight to get into at first, but once in place, it was very comfortable. My one complaint, and it's no small complaint since this was a major reason for buying shorts, is that the legs rolled up constantly. Unless I was standing still, the legs needed to be adjusting. Sitting, walking, dancing, climbing stairs all lead to uncomfortable & unflattering rolling.

Work wonders, once you get them on!
I purchased these in two sizes, small and medium, in addition to S and M of a different style, in hopes that one would work for me. Overall, these are a great product that holds in what you need them to, once you are finally able to squeeze them over your hips and up your sausage link legs. It was ROUGH getting them on the first time; it took me about ten minutes (including doing a bridge on the floor and squeezing the top part over my hips). I am 5'4 and 145 lbs, thought I would be just fine in the medium. At first I thought I wasn't going to get them on but I was really committed to the cause!Once they were on, they were fantastic, surprisingly comfortable, legs didn't roll up and top didn't roll down. There is a specially made hole in the crotch for bathroom purposes, I tried it but found it to be potentially dangerous/messy.Final opinion- Great product, glad I got it! Just be ready for the fight to put them on.

Worst Spanx Ever
I was super excited for these Spanx since they are a new design and just came out. When I finally put them on, I was deeply disappointed.First, they are high waisted but they seem to come up higher than other high waisted Spanx I own. The proportions just didn’t work for my body. But that’s fine because they actually have a bigger problem...They roll. I really like the material that they used for the front panel, but there is a waistband above that panel made of just a standard polyester and it rolls. I couldn’t get them to lay flat for the life of me. So they removed the bumps on my tummy but created bumps on my back and upper waist- which looked extremely odd.I wish I had done more homework before buying because I found so many similar reviews! I’m also disappointed because I didn’t put them on until after the return window closed. Lesson learned!
