Q: How is this bidet installed? Does it require the toilet to be in the same room as a sink and bath?

You connect the flexible pipes to the existing pipes at the back of your toilet. You might need to shorten the existing pipes.

Q: Can the controls be fitted to the left hand side of the toilet? It only shows the right?

This does only fit in the right hand side. I don't think they make one for the left hand side.

Q: will the hose and fittings fit to standard uk fittings i.e 15 mm

I fitted to my toilet with fittings that came with it. Didn’t need any additional screws or anything else. Fittings included are very good quality too

Q: Will it fit on on my toilet pipes as mine are very close together

Really only a plumber can answer this question as you will probably have to fit a t-piece in the cistern feed pipe to allow a connection to this (quite long) flexy pipe that connects to the bidet unit. But I can heartily recommend the unit itself - find a way to fit it.
