Q: does this have cadminium in it?

CADMIUM, not CADMINIUM. Fix your spelling. There are natural amounts of cadmium and lead in soil. Cocoa as well as many vegetables like beetroot, spinach, sweet potato pick up trace amounts. Not much to worry about. Its a good idea for manufacturers to test their chocolate and remove it, but this is not the only source of heavy metals.

Q: Why does this product not have a USDA seal? Anyone can say it is organic, but without the seal there is no proof of supervision.

Great question and thanks for pointing that out! I contacted the company and they said they will be adding the USDA Organic logo to the packaging, as they have certification from CCOF (CA Certified Organic Farmers), one of the USAD NOP-approved certification entities.

There's no reference to Fair Trade certification or practices. Origin alone does not indicate presence of absence of abusive child labor. Ask the company.
