For years I searched for a way to defeat the squirrels. So many different feeders or deterrents, nothing stopped them. Well, until this. Absolutely the best ever! I keep the feeder outside my kitchen window and have watched the squirrels try every which way to gain access to just ONE piece of food only to leave disappointed. Now it is fun to just watch them stare at it and try to figure a way in lol.It's not a large feeder and it is a pain to clean but that is such a small issue I wouldn't dock a star as it is still worth it overall. If you have squirrel issues don't hesitate to buy this and defeat those little buggers!

I give 5 based on price and quality. But the birds are giving it a 1 so far. The squirrels are unhappy with them so far. So that's good.

i finally got to use it this past winter, only reason gave it 4 stars is that one side comes undone, you have to mess with it in order for it close properly, but beside that i like it. i can put two suet cakes in it and hang it on one hook while i put the feeder on the other hook

These finch feeders are perfect for me. They are not huge feeders that takes pounds and pounds of Nyjer or thistle seed, which is not cheap, and messy enough to sweep up, if you have ever spilled one because the top kept falling off. The size is perfect, there are 2 instead of one, which gives you a spare in case of an accident, and the best part is the build quality it being yellow metal top and a nice metal tray bottom. You can’t go wrong with this great bargain, and it sure beats plastic tube feeders! So you won’t be disappointed!

The birdies love it, I have tons of them coming to feed.

Finches are attracted to the feeder. It is well built and attractive hanging in the yard. However, it does not work well in the wind. When the wind blows it rocks back and forth and spills the thistle out the bottom.

The yellow finches love these. And all the other finches as well

My brothers had me order these. He says they're the best. His are a hidden treasure for all his finches
