I hardly ever write reviews but I had to immediately let you all know how beautiful this bag is!! I got the grey and I love the contrast of the black interior. The material is what I expected for a knife bag, but it seems thicker and strong. The bag itself is very sturdy and seems like it'll last for a long time.I outgrew my basic 5 slot knife bag and have already nearly filled half the backpack. The spacing for the pouches are generous, and the strips of velcro above every pouch secures whatever you have so it doesn't wobble around inside. You could probably put bare knives in and not have to worry about them shifting, although I do still recommend knife sheaths if you have them.Some areas of the bag could be used for kitchenware or for regular everyday backpack usage like notebooks or pens, etc. The main foldout areas really are dedicated more to knives and such, but the front zippered areas could easily fit a tablet (or small laptop), notebooks, and more. I'm so excited to start bringing this with me to work!

I looked at so many Chef bags not only for culinary but also for baking. I have decided on this one for a couple reasons1. It has a pocket inside for smaller items such as measuring cups, measuring spoons and so on2. there are plenty slots for knives and my baking spatulas for cake decorating3. it is also durable and look sharp with leather straps on the blue or redThe down fall the bag is not long enough for my sharping rod that is needed for your knives and something I need for class. So I have to carry and extra knife bag to make sure that I have it with me. I also wish the small items pocket was on both sides or you could expand the bag on the sides if needed kind of like a luggage bag where it gives you a little extra room.Over all this product so far has been Great ! I hope that it holds up to what it claims as I have only been using it for one Semester so far yes it might be three classes but still I hope it lasts for at least a year or more.It is great quality for the price you can not beat it I don't think you will be upset if you purchase this bag
