Hello This product will not enhance or create abrasion resistance. This material is ideally designed to create thixotropic properties. Weight per gallon is roughly 1 pound. This material does tend to settle out during shipping. Make sure to shake container before use and this will redisperse particulates..Thank you

No, this is not a compound, it is sand.
