It's a projector mount and a darn amazing one.
The media could not be loaded. First, let me start by saying that customer service is AMAZING. I had a lot of questions about dimensions, fit, etc, before buying and they emailed back very quickly answering every question I had. There is a time difference, so be conscious of that when expecting a reply. This projector lift is awesome. If you are considering, do it. I do have a couple if gripes, but I'll talk about them later.First, why would you need this? A couple of reasons. I have a beam in the middle of my room along the ceiling, that drops down about 2 feet. So, if I wanted to keep the projector level (without adjusting keystone), I would need to hang it at about 7 feet. Very obtrusive. Additionally, if you want to avoid balls, nerf darts or prying hands, you have to either put away your projector or risk it. I decided to come up with a more creative solution and this mount helped me get there. The mount itself fits completely in the ceiling. My home uses engineered joists, so there is only about 17" between them. Not enough for the projector I chose (Epson 5050ube), but that was just my issue. The mount installed exactly as outlined in their video. You can see in my video that there is a control box with an up/down/stop button. There is also an RF remote included. Works flawlessly. The projector mount seems very sturdy and I have no concerns about it. The motors are not super loud and lift the projector with ease. There are two motors that work in sync and they don't whine or sound like they are straining. There are exteral screws that switches press against to set the up/down limits. You do need a little room to get up to set the limits, so make sure you have a stubby Philips screwdriver and do it before you adjust your projector's position. But once it's done, you don't have to do it again. The vendor will customize the bottom plate to the size of your projector, just be sure to let them know the model of your projector in advance. The bottom plate hangs by the allthread, so, I am confident that even if the projectors body mounting holes stripped, the plate would keep it from falling to the floor (plenty of videos on YouTube). So, the plate is more than just decorative.Shipping was exceptionally fast. Even with the custom bottom plate, I had everything in 2 or 3 days. A+ for that.I only have 3 minor gripes. 1st, the top plate that covers the motor is made of very flimsy steel. It rattled like crazy when the lift was operating. Simple fix was to pull it off and put a layer of liquid electrical tape around the edges. No more rattling. They should either use heavier steel for the plate, or put a gasket. 2nd, the control box has a red LED that can't be turned off. Solution? You guessed it. Pop the control box open and put a dab of liquid electrical tape over the LED. 3rd, the custom base plate was bent. I assume that was from shipping and isn't terrible, but I can see it.Otherwise, it's super awesome and worth the money. The mount points are very adjustable. I do wish some bite washers were included, but I picked up a set at Lowes for like $3Finally, do yourself a favor and pickup the Broadlink Rm4 pro along with it to integrate everything into Google Home or Alexa. You're welcome.

Lift works, but the power and HDMI cables are an issue when retracting into the ceiling.
When retracting the scissor lift into the ceiling the unit doesn't come with or provide any solutions to ensure the power cable and HDMI cable retracts in a proper way so that it doesn't get stuck in the scissors or hangs out the side of the ceiling plate when it raised all the way up. So, every time I want to retract the lift all the way up till it's flush with the ceiling, I need to get a 13 foot (tall ceilings) ladder and manual guide the power cable up with my hand until its almost flush with the ceiling or it will hang outside the ceiling plate and cause an uneven gap. I switched from a hard wired HDMI cable to a wireless Roku Stick to eliminate this issue with the HDMI cable, but I'm still trying to figure out a solution for the power cable that goes to the projector. The down side to eliminating the HDMI cable for the wireless Roku Stick however, is it no longer runs through my bad ass 7.1 receiver so I only get sound from the projector speakers, which suck. Also you will notice that in all the demo videos Cgoldenwall provides on Amazon, they only demonstrate the lift going up and down WITHOUT any of the projectors power or signal cables installed.

Listing said double motor but only came with one
Paid the extra money for this unit as the listing said it has two motors. Be advised the unit has two belts but only one motor.

good product, excellent customer service
Installed in a 15 foot high ceiling warehouse office. This product is bulky and heavy and requires preplanning for installation but works very well. We built a box to hide and protect the projector when it is lifted to the ceiling. The most amazing thing was the customer service. They communicated with me several times via e-mails and even with a Fedex letter before the shipment to fit my needs and gave me some good options. The way it comes down from the ceiling impresses visitors and it has been working very well so far. Again you need to plan well before purchase. Because of its size, it is visually helpful to have a high ceiling or a deep crawl space. We re-enforced ceiling joists with metal sheets and provided electric outlets for this lift and the projector and a channel for a HDMI cable.

Would recommend, cool gadget!
Would recommend for Home Theaters. It requires cutting into your roof and installing a mount, so if you don’t know what your doing, I would recommend hiring a professional! It’s a cool gadget to show to friends.
