No sure, I took out the battery on my motorcycle...but the charger is awesome

Q: Will this work on a gas golf cart battery and are there indicator lights to tell when charging? Does it shut off when charged?

Yes it should work fine on a golf cart battery, There are indicator lights to tell when it is charging and it does not shut off when charged but stays on to maintain the charge. This means you never have to worry about it being hooked up.

Q: The instructions say "to be used only in an unenclosed area." for me, that means storing the battery outdoors in -10 to 20 degree f temps. is that ok?

I think the manufacturer is talking about scenarios like mine: A 2014 Toyota Prius C, where the 12v utility battery (not the "drive" battery) is encased under the back seat. One would NOT want to run this charger on that battery while the car's windows are closed up; any battery-vapors would need to ventilate out a partly opened passenger door window. In a 1600 sq. ft. (hence, spacious) garage I keep (from "Covid-unuse") a charger like this on that battery for long periods between uses of that vehicle -- always keeping that car door's window open to vent it.
