The XtremepouwerUS 4-Step Above Ground Swimming Pool Ladder is a great addition to any pool, offering both safety and convenience for users. Designed for above-ground pools with deck heights ranging from 48" to 54", this ladder is both durable and easy to install. One of the standout features is the double handle rail, which provides extra support and stability when entering and exiting the pool. The slip-resistant steps are another great addition, ensuring safe use even when wet. The white finish gives it a clean, sleek look that complements most pool designs. While the ladder is solid and sturdy once set up, some users have noted that it may take a little time and effort to assemble properly, especially when securing it to the pool deck. However, once installed, it functions smoothly and offers peace of mind for both adults and children.Overall, the XtremepouwerUS 4-Step Ladder is a reliable choice for above-ground pool owners, providing a safe and user-friendly way to access your pool.

Decent for the price.
For the price this is a fairly good stair style pool ladder. I can no longer climb the ladder to get out of the pool so this style is my only option. I agree with others the rails are not the sturdiest so if you absolutely need them to get in and out look for something that’s more stable.. luckily I do not require them to get in/out yet. Assembly was pretty easy but definitely lost attention because some of the step pieces only have small differences and they are relevant. It did take what seemed like a lifetime to sink this thing (and assistance from two 10lb weights and a 9 y/o in the pool) so patience is key! Overall for the price I can’t complain. Most ladders on the market are only holding up for a couple of seasons anyway (especially in Ohio).

I feel secure
I bought this in Sept 2021 to have it ready for the 2022 season when I could get a deck built for the new pool. I’m glad I bought it when I did because inflation has caused the price to increase drastically, but even at the new cost it would be worth it not to have to climb that rickety a frame ladder. The box sat on my shed all winter I didn’t even check it out. Happily all the parts were included when I opened it in June 2022. It took about 15 minutes to put together. It only took that long because I didn’t bother to look at the directions and put a couple pieces in the wrong spot. I had read other reviews that said it needs to be weighted with sand, And it does. Instead of spending $100 on the special containers for it I saved some half gallon plastic milk jugs. I ordered 0.5 cbft bag of leveling sand. 1 bag filled 8 jugs. Leveling sand is more like fine gravel then sand. It is also wet in the bag. You will need a wide mouth funnel and an hour of patience to fill the jugs. I attached them with tie wraps to the inside bottom rungs of the stairs. Remember to open the caps slightly to let air out and fill with water to add additional weight. It worked great. They are secure and sturdy and now properly affixed to the deck. I am 275 lbs and 50yrs old, breaking a hip is not on my bucket list. The railings of the staircase are a bit flimsy and will easily come apart. I haven’t figured out how to fix that. Maybe caulking glue. But the stairs themselves are sturdy and wide and easily managed. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great steps
Very sturdy and nice-looking steps. I like the way the steps are mounted on the top of the side pieces, (not inserted in the side pieces like some I compared with). The crossbar underneath was a concern to me of coming off, so I added (2) SS screws to keep it in place. Manufacturer suggested using sand to hold the steps in place, I used a 20# plastic covered weight and used plastic tie straps to hold in place underneath steps, (pictures shows weight on bottom step, before I strapped it underneath. Will make it easier to remove and pull steps out for cleaning/storage, without the weight of wet sand).

Cost more to return than the purchase price
These are supposed to go in the water? They float, and they're almost impossible to get them to sink and stay on the bottom. I bought these to go in a lake, to make it easier for my elderly mother to get out of the waist-high water at the end of our dock. But they just float away. Even with me standing on them (I weigh 120 lbs), they were not stable and started to lift up and float. There is no way filling them with sand would do it. More than 120 lbs of sand would not fit inside. We tried to attach them to the dock but they literally would carry the dock away with them. Even in a pool, I can't imagine any way these would stay on the bottom- the amount of sand that would fit in them would not weigh enough. They're only useful on land. Unless you're looking for a raft.I consider these defective and I requested a return. They sent me a return label and I took the huge, 56# box to UPS, and was told it would cost $360 to return them! That's more than the purchase price! For a defective product. I plan to call amazon and complain. This is ridiculous to sell a product that doesn't do what it is supposed to do and is impossible to return. Criminal.

Easily get in and out of pool
I was looking to get a set of pool steps this year so that me and my 72 yr old mom could more easily get in and out of our above ground pool. These steps have been perfect. They were easy to assembly. Easy to set up in the pool. They are light. So, yes! You will need something to weigh them down or they will float. No big deal!! I put a couple of concrete pavers on mine and that did the trick. I am going to change those out for sand bags though. The price is spot on. I built a small 4 x 4 deck that we could walk up and then use these steps to get into the pool. These steps have little arms that attached to the deck for extra security. Both me and my mom feel confident and safe utilizing these steps. I would highly recommend them for anyone who has mobility or balance issues and needs something other than those horrible steps that come with above ground pools. Those things are unsafe. In my opinion. These steps are a great option. I highly recommend. Thanks for reading.
