Rothco Trainmen Paisley Bandana – Extra-Large - 27" X 27"

You must thoroughly rinse this bandana before use! I soaked it in hot water and wrung it out several times before the water would run clear. Probably repeated the process a dozen or so times in the bathroom sink with laundry detergent. It is not the softest cloth and the printing is only on one side (can be seen on the other though) but for the price it is a good deal. Don't have it in front of me but it was not made in USA which is not a surprise. Bandana is plenty large enough to wrap even a large head/face.I also bought the Blue Trainmen Bandana and that color did not run nearly as much during the first washing.

I bought the Rothco red 27x27 trainman pattern, along with another from a different company. The pattern on this is definitely one-sided, and the dye is NOT colorfast (don't wash it with anything else unless you're after pink clothes). The bandana itself is actually great; 100% cotton, straight sides, good price. I wear a size 8 1/2 hat (which in hat sizes is about like wearing a size 17 shoe - pain in the rear to find, and usually have to have it custom made), and the 27x27 is more than big enough to wear in any style. I don't think a bandana has felt this oversized to me since I was 8!I'm only rating this 4 stars instead of 5 because of the dye; the other one I bought was almost identical, but the dye stayed where it was supposed to. If you're going to buy one of these, soak it in the sink 2 or 3 times and then give it a run through the cold cycle before you wear it. (That'll help wash out the starch too, which is the "stiff" feeling the other reviewers mentioned)Summary:it's a $6 fabric square, don't go expecting royal silk with hand-painted pattern on each piece. It's straight, it's got a bold pattern, and once you break it in a little it's exactly what you're looking for. The single-sided pattern is even dark enough that you probably won't notice it's only on one side.

It is big. I soaked it to move the excess dye from the cloth until the water had little dye flushing out. Colors still bright. I will be buying more. I bought them for face masks and don’t need the extra length. I found in my biker years a piece of cloth was such a good tool so many uses I have kept them around when not ridding. I just did not Remember the size. This works.

The 27" Rothco Trainman bandanna fits my head. I have four colors of this product. I make forehead sweatbands or triangular scarves.

I now have purchased three of these bandanas from them. I have a bunch of old red bandanas I bought years ago specifically for use during deer season, but they are all basically just red paisley handkerchiefs, and too small to use for anything else. I've found that these are of and adequate size to be used as a head scarf, a wrap, an emergency arm sling, etc. They are good quality and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I bought one, bought another and went back a third time because I was convinced that I had found the best I could find.
