Worth Every Penny
Yup, this is very expensive cat food. It is worth every penny. I have three older cats -- 15, 15, & 11 -- and as they have gotten older they have become more stressed by changes in their environment. We have a couple of feral cats in our neighborhood and one of the 15 year olds became so stressed from seeing them out the window that he began to spray all over the house. The other two cats were deeply offended by his behavior and began to stalk and attack him. This just made the peeing worse. We really began to think we would have to rehome at least one of our cats. A friend suggested this food and out of desperation I bought it. Within three days, the peeing had stopped and within a couple of weeks the fighting had stopped. We feed this for dinner and give them other food for breakfast to try to mitigate the expense. I have my home back and my loving companions. It is worth a try for behavioral problems.

Completely stopped my cat from spraying around the house and howling.
I have a male neutered cat who would howl at night and spray around the house. I have kept him separate from my other cats his entire life as other cats offend him immensely. Since being on this food he has stopped howling completely, was tested and proved negative for any sort of urinary infection (which my vet made me do to rule out other causes), and has stopped spraying completely. His personality has not changed, but he is in fact merely calm, and happy. The fact that he stopped spraying is a miracle as I have tried other things to no avail (everything the vet recommended and more). I also use a Sentry collar, and it seemed to make him very happy, but it did not affect the spraying. I am now trying this food on my other cat who is so timid he spends most of his day hiding. Unfortunately it is expensive. My vet did not inform me of this food (so I have now changed vets!) as I found it myself doing online research, and it works.

This was recommended by my cat behaviorist for my kitty who was ...
This was recommended by my cat behaviorist for my kitty who was dealing with separation anxiety after my mother and his kitty brother died months apart, and we were planning a 1,000 mile relocation move on top of all our stress and grief. It takes about 8 days to kick in, and he was on it for about 8 weeks total, with incredible results. I would highly recommend this for any cat experiencing separation anxiety. Don't be put off by the cost. This worked better than the calming collar and pheramone plug ins. The collar and plug in would not have been sufficient by themselves. I will use this product when I travel, so kitty can be home and comfortable with a pet sitter. Previous pet sitters were hissed and growled at and his anxiety level was so high he would stop eating when I would travel. Now, he's happy and this is a product I can use for short periods of time to ensure his comfort when I may be gone for a week to 10 days.

Great product
My cats have liked Royal Canin foods for years. When there was increased stress in the household I gave this a try. My 4 picky cats like this and are doing well with the stress. I am also glad that this has an SO index which helps with bladder problems. My male cat has had this problem and refused the medical diet food. He does eat this. I am continuing them on this product. Worth the money.

Cats love it, but it did little to calm them down
Our vet recommended this food b/c we have two (out of four cats) who are constantly fighting, and we've tried a number of other approaches (lots of play, separating them, building platforms, etc. In short, we implemented every change that the popular cat behaviorists, such as Jackson Galaxy, recommend). So, we weren't just relying on food to change things, but hoped that the food, in combo with the other changes we made, would help.Since the food (which they enjoyed) hasn't helped their behavior, we're back to square one. It's also very pricey. Since we saw no change in their behavior, we won't be purchasing it again.

My Cat Loves It!
I originally purchased this product because our cat is hyper/anxious and was spraying in our house. I was extremely close to getting rid of him by any means! After using Royal Canin, I noticed that he DID STOP spraying in the house and he's been a little calmer (but not really). The more interesting thing is that he loves it! He literally licks his bowl clean. I've wasted a lot of cat food in the past only because I thought he didn't like dry food in general but Royal Canin Calm is his favorite! I will continue to get it for him. I do supplement wet food so I'm not using a lot of dry food and that seems to help so I don't have to buy the dry food every month or constantly.

My vet recommended that I try this food for my cat
My vet recommended that I try this food for my cat. He was meowing all night, throwing himself against the front door in attempts to get out, etc. After being on the food for about 1 month or so, I started to notice improvements. He loves the food, so I have kept him on it for almost a year now. It is a little expensive, but I think it's worth it considering I can actually sleep through the night now!
