GOLDEN Clear Leveling Gel, 8 fl. oz. Jar, Professional Acrylic Gel Medium, Transparent

I e used this gel as a finisher on multimedia projects for years. I use acrylic paint, oil and chalk pastel, water color and gauche, and charcoal. During my process, I use Sennelier Fixatif for Oil Pastel. This is my finisher. People should know that it does leave a kind of semi-gloss finish. Definitely not matte, although the effect is less noticeable when the work is framed under glass. I like this as a finisher because I use Warercolor paper, and it is “self-leveling,” meaning it doesn’t gop up if you’re nit careful applying it, although you still should be! I always note that with first applying, it looks a bit bluish and cloudy. This resolved quickly and drives crystal clear. Let it dry for at least 20 minutes. It’s tacky to the touch of it hasn’t dried fully. Once fully dried, it’s perfectly smooth. I generally work on 18x25 paper. This 8oz jar will probably cover 10 pieces. You can buy this gel in many sizes.

Golden is the standard! This does not disappoint. The quality is fantastic. It’s self leveling and dries within 30 minutes. It adheres to my boards and canvases without dragging marks. It goes on milky white but dries clear. Gives my paintings so much depth and detail. Provides good coverage.

Worked for what we wanted it for, but the product was a bit liquids so it leaked a little, but all in all it was good

Excellent for surface leveling of paintings

This was my first time using this product. From now on, I will always use it. Night and day difference on the picture. Smooth, cohesive and fairly priced.

Just want I needed

I love this! It can turn pretty much anything into a great surface to paint on. Perfect for Oil and Acrylics. Just as good as Gesso!

Works well and good consistency

Dieses Gel soll ja Unebenheit ausgleichen, um so für einen weiteren Layer eines Bildes als Grundlage zu dienen; gleichzeitig sorgen sie für Glanz. Nur, es level-t nicht; vielmehr kann man deutlich erkennen, das etwas über einen Layer gelegt wurde, und im Laufe der Zeit, wenn man das häufiger macht - was ja der Sinn ist - werden die einzelnen Schichten zusammen ziemlich dick und ich kann nicht erkennen, wozu das - zumindest bei nicht auflösenden Farben wir Acryl - gut sein soll. Vielleicht als letzte Schicht - aber da kann man auch normales Varnish nehmen. Würde ich nicht wieder kaufen.

Leider ist die Paste ausgelaufen angekommen. Gleicht allerdings einem normalen Klarlack mehr als es ein Gel verspricht, um mit Mixed Media zu arbeiten und in Einklag zu bringen.
