Superb Water Kefir Grains
I've bought another brand of water kefir grains in the past, but once I tried this brand, I've stuck with it. The grains are packaged well, shipped quickly, and are hardy. Well-written, easy-to-understand, sturdy instruction sheets are also included. This is a great company with a great product! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to make their own water kefir.

Wow! This is the most prolific kefir I have ever seen.
The media could not be loaded. Firstly, I tried water kefir several years ago with grains that had been passed on to me. I struggled to keep them alive. These kefir grains are amazing!I have learned a couple tricks though.1. Kefir grains Do Not like “city water”. Bottled spring water was okay but my well water is magical. (I took my grains on vacation with me and they protested the tap water. They stopped growing, there was no more carbonation, and the taste was definitely off)2. Kefir grains LOVE good quality brown sugar. It provides a steady source of sugar AND minerals. (I buy the bulk organic Costco brand and it works perfect) Dissolving the sugar in warm water ahead of time makes it easier to add to the kefir grains.3. The video included shows a 1 gallon jar that is now half full of kefir grains. I bought the little cup of grains a little less than a month ago. When it’s happy it grows quickly!4. I often do a “second ferment”. After about 24 hours I pour the kefir out of the gallon jar. (Separating the grains and water.) Pour the kefir water into another glass jar and add frozen fruit. (Any frozen fruit or fresh fruit works. I find that frozen fruit adds more flavor quickly) The fruit will add a ton of flavor when it sits in the fridge overnight. I then start the next batch of water kefir with the grains and repeat.5. Also…Have lots of friends and family who would also like to experiment with water kefir because it grows incredibly fast. These grains are far superior to any others I have seen. Love them and they will love you back.

Moldy Kefir
These grains were not active.I have used water kefir grains for years in Europe. These were defective. Not worth the money. They created a moldy top layer. When I reached out to seller they had me reset the grains but it accomplished nothing and then they offered no more help.

Great Product
I was very skeptical of buying live grains, but all the dried grains had bad reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I had enough grains to start 2 mason jars and they worked perfectly! Many things I read said that the first batch may not be any good, but ours was. I have been making a constant supply since receiving my grains and I couldn't be more pleased with the product. If I had to buy them again, I would order these again.

If I ever need to get more, I will trust this company to supply
The instructions are wonderful. The grains arrived and were starting to wet the envelope, but I think that was due to rough shipping via the Post Office. I started the grains with new sugar water to refresh them even though they were still wet, it was excessive heat in our area. I discarded the first batch and started them again. The grains are so healthy and happy that after about 4 batches, they are not as large as the end of my thumb. They multiply like crazy, but I love the flavor I am getting in my water Kefir. They seem to really grow when I add some coconut sugar to my cane sugar. I place 1 slice of lemon, 2 dried figs and 3 dates. This mix makes a good flavor base to sweeten with fruit for the 2nd ferment.

Issues about the initial instructions but the grains are high quality
Fast shipping and good quality grains. In one month the grains have grown robustly and are still going strong. The instructions on/in the packaging were not very clear. I'm used to milk kefir grains, in which the grains adhere together into a few large clumps. I was completely unprepared for all the small grains in the water kefir grain package. And there was no warning on the inner balloon-type packaging about how to open it.I just pulled to break the seal -- and grains went flying all over my sink and counter. It was a mess and I lost almost half the grains. As I was scooping them up out of the sink and off the counter, at first I was rinsing them in my hands -- and they floated right out of my fingers. I've never handled anything so hard to manage, and there were no instructions on what to expect or how to manage.I can't recall how I finally managed with them but I salvaged what I could, which was probably half, maybe a little more. I set them up with sugar water in the ratio on the package. The grains went right to work. From the very first batch I got fizzy kefir. It's been one month since I received them. The grains have been steadily growing. They've at least tripled in quantity, probably more than tripled. So while it was a bit of a misadventure when I opened them, the grains themselves are high quality, robust and active.

Worth a try!
I ferment some stuff around the house and wanted to try water kefir. This was a great and affordable way to try it out. It's super easy and much quicker turn around for a finished beverage compared to kombucha. I didn't care for the taste and threw it out, but don't regret the small amount of time and money invested.

I have been using these grains for 5 months, they seem very hardy, I don't bother rinsing between feedings very 3-4 days, and to 6 c water use a mix of 1/8 c palm sugar, 1/4 c cane sugar, a dash of maple syrup to make sure there are enough minerals, when I used more palm sugar it did not seem to like it so much - less carbonation on my second fermentation in flip to bottles. My best success for second fermentation has been fresh: kiwi, raspberries, blueberry, dried: currants, cranberries, prunes, raisins. I second ferment 1 day in summer and 2 in winter - here in Georgia. My grains reproduced a lot and I already dried a batch that I then froze with a air desiccant satchel. Really easy to make. Love this stuff, it makes me feel happy!
