Overall, very good.The outer fabric feels sturdy so I'm not worried about putting maille over it. The white inner layer is a liner and the quilting doesn't go through it so I'm not sure how well it would hold up in the wash (the padding is some sort of filling).That said, fits well, no issues with sleeve length. The grommets have a washer on the back so they're likely to last well. No issues with the leather straps on mine. And the sewing seems well-done. A solid five stars at this price.

Took longer than expected to arrive, which alone is not so bad but the tracking number was non functional for 3 days so I thought the package was lost.The product itself seemed of good quality. But a bit on the small size.Returned to purchase a larger size.

The sleeves are just a bit too short for someone who would normally fit in said size, otherwise its very comfortable, thickness is about a 7 out of 10. The collar is a great touch for those with gorgets. Overall happy with this

I did a lot of browsing through different styles, reading reviews, and even browsing through similar products for sale on other popular websites. This manufacturer seemed to have the best reviews of their products, and although I considered ordering a custom made gambeson directly from a UK armorer, I didn't want to pay $400 (although I have no doubt it would have been of that quality). I was willing to spend $80, so I ultimately went with this. At first I was a little sad to see how small the package was when it arrived, as it did not seem to be thick at all. However, after opening and unfolding, left hanging for a few days, it filled out and its the perfect thickness to support my mail and armor. I'm 6'1", 220 lbs, and the XL size fits perfectly - not too tight or too loose. The side buckles are cheap and wimpy, but they are real leather material and wouldn't be too difficult to swap out if I wanted to upgrade them to a heavier weight strap. Overall I'm happy with the product at this price, even if I decide to make some modifications (such as making the sleeves removable).

Product was just as described, very comfortable. Material was good and was well put together.

I wear this thing all the time. Very protective and very affordable. Ordered this type so I would break any buckles off on my chest plate. Also ordered one size bigger then my shirt size, to insure it would fit, and it was a good idea fits perfect. Plus it has a little hang on the bottom side which helps with leg protection.

Its thick enough for cushioning the armor. Its comfortable and very light. SCA fighting with armor, this underneath was great.
