A Poncho on Steroids
Even if you could cadge more than one blanket from the flight attendant, airline blankets are just too small to wrap you in warmth, sliding off your shoulders and lap or disappearing into the void between the plane wall and the window seat. Some flights have no blankets at all. After years of freezing on long flights, I saw the Throwbee and ordered it. It arrived promptly. It's a large, velvety blanket. I ordered the blue, which is a lovely royal/cobalt. You could keep the slit for your head snapped shut and simply use it as a blanket. Incidentally, there are several snaps, so the opening is adjustable. But it shines as a poncho on steroids! I look for the anorak pocket sewn onto the front to know which way to put it on. It stays in place and is divinely warm! No more freezing shoulders from airline blankets that don't stay put. It's long enough to cover your thighs while seated, yet short enough to walk around without its getting in your way (I'm 5'6"). I was forced to sleep on a bench in an airport a couple of nights ago. All I needed was my neck pillow and I was all set with my own comfy bedding. I've always wondered whether airlines wash their blankets before they put them in those plastic bags. With the Throwbee, I can toss it into the washing machine and know for sure! Two minor things: You may have to wear fewer layers of clothing if you have a Throwbee. I was actually too warm on my last outgoing flight. For the return trip, I wore one fewer layer and was more comfortable. If you don't want to wear the Throwbee except during flight, you can roll it up and strap or bungee cord it to your suitcase. Ladies, if you're wearing it and need to use the loo, make sure it's tucked out of the way in the back.A great, simple, well-thought out idea that I wish I'd had! Then maybe I could fly first class!

Throwbee Blanket-Poncho is Comfortable
I've used this pretty much every day since I received it. It's lightweight and not all that bulky. It's just the right weight to wear over clothes when the house is cool. It's great for sitting in a chair and keeping warm while watching TV or reading. It's also a good size to wear around the house. I'm five feet even, and the hem doesn't drag on the floor. It's just a little above my feet, even in socks, so it hasn't been a tripping hazard. I've also used it for reading in bed. I haven't worn it outside, for instance to get the mail, but it would probably be okay for that. It's easy enough to take it off and put it back on again. I love the fact that it's soft and warm, but not heavy enough to weigh me down. I highly recommend this for people who tend to get cold easily, but want more mobility than could be had from a blanket. The blue color is very similar to the picture on my screen. The quality is good, and it washes easily, too. It's higher in the back than the front (I guess that depends on how you wear it) but either way it's worn, mobility is pretty easy. When it's buttoned up, it does make a nice lightweight blanket. As a blanket, it would probably be fine for a nap, or as an extra blanket on top of the bed. I've used similar products that are heavier and bulkier (and warmer, I admit) but this is a pretty nice weight, well-designed, light and comfortable.

Necessity After Shoulder Surgery!
After a major shoulder surgery put me in an immobilization sling for 6 weeks (I am heading into week 3), in the midst of winter in NW Montana, I needed outerwear options that I could get on and off by myself. When my Throwbee arrived, I was so pleased! I do add layers beneath, but it is so soft and comfortable, and covers everything well enough to walk the dogs and stay cozy....I love it. And I like that the company gives blankets to dog shelters as an added bonus!Even when my shoulder is healed enough to wear "real" coats and jackets again, I think my Throwbee will be a favorite go-to comfy-cozy piece of my wardrobe for years to come!!Thank you Throwbee people!!

So convenient and cozy!
This is perfect for wearing around the house or going out for a game. Maybe sitting outside by the fire. So soft too. You need one. I bought 2 - one for me and 1 for my son.

My husband loves this throw!
Since my husband has medical problems that make his blood circulation slow down, he's always cold while sitting. I, on the other hand, am roasting so it's not a matter of turning up the thermostat. When he opened the package, he was very excited because it was so soft. When he put it on, he just sat there smiling. It's the answer to his "cooling problem." The good thing is that it covers his back, too. Most of the throws lay over the front of you, but you get a draft on the back of your neck. And best of all, it helps a rescue dog! Our family has three rescue dogs and that makes the whole thing even better!

it's pretty good with some problems
It's ok but not that warm, it's too light weight material. A solution and needed change: it would be better if the back could swing around to the front and either snap or velco, making it doubly warm and enveloping. You could then unsnap it when you sit down, to serve as a blanket. The fack that it just hangs is worthless, it needs to wrap around and stay wrapped. Just a thought for a re-design. I like it however. Thank you.
