I use the 5" hook and loop, Mostly cabinets and doors.

Husband uses it quite frequently and says it works well and fits in his palm perfectly. He's an aircraft mechanic.

As a whole, I have to give this sander 4 stars at least. I have been doing custom woodworking for many years and have had a few Dynabrade sanders. Each one has lasted a long time, years. I've had this sander for a good couple months now. This one started out good but after a very short time, I am having a problem with it. I can't put a finger on the problem but it's speed won't keep up with the air flow going in. It does speed up and slow down but slows down way more than it should. I haven't taken the time to try to return it or anything as of yet due to my being out of the shop a lot lately. This is something i will have to deal with. Dynabrade makes good sanders so the quality is/should be good. The packaging and delivery was fine also.

this is a good sander for veneer. I sand all types of hardwoods on both veneer and mdf cores with this sander using only 180 paper and get very good results with 2 coats of catalyzed lacquer. I bought this one to replace another of the same type, had it for about 2 years with daily use and it started acting a little funny, can probably get that one fixed but needed an extra because cant have any downtime.

Love this sander, my husband used it for my bed he made, very light weight and works great

Very lightweight. Efficient — uses less air flow than my 20-year-old Sioux. Sands just as fast and weighs less than half as much. That is what I was hoping for.
