MCG Textiles 52427 Gold Collection Counted Cross Stitch Kit, Tuscan Colors by Charles White

First of all, the chart that this came with is terrible. I've been cross stitching for 20 years and this is one of the worst charts I've ever seen. It's not color coded at all, which is not fatal, but it's made in such a way that the symbols are just a huge, mish-mashy jumble. I had to use highlighters to keep track of my place for the first time ever.The thread it comes with seems normal quality, but the color variation is crazy. One color orange came in three obviously different hues...and they were all supposed to be the same color/number. It is noticeable when stitched, so i had to try to use the same variation of the color next to each other, and when the orange was in a different place on the design (separated by other stitches) I would use the OTHER variation. Sooo frustrating. This also happened with a green color and is even more noticeable than the orange. I bought another pattern by this seller at the same time as this one (with exactly the same problems!), but you better believe i won't get another.Now, most importantly, the design looks nice when finished, but it was a gigantic headache to make. Definitely do not attempt if you are a novice, it might turn you off of stitching forever!

this item will look fantastic in my home. item was as described and shipped quickly. I look forward to working this project.
