Great replacement for lavalamp , IF you use a dimmer. It's too hot!
This lamp with the reflector is much hotter than the original lava lamp. It will cause your lava to be too hot and it won't have the desired 'lava lamp' effect, with most of the lava sitting at the top without circulating. Fortunately with a dimmer this allows quick start up then dim to reduce heat to make a good lava lamp effect

They burn out way too fast. Went through all 4 in like 2 months.

Buy the multi ack in case one burns out early
The first bulb I used from this package lasted 1 day. I turned my lamp on the next day and nothing. I am using it the classroom so the most it was on was about 6 hours. So far the second bulb has lasted so I am hoping this was just a fluke.

Short enough to fit under glass lamp
Bought for lava lamp. They’re a bit shorter than I could find anywhere in town. They fit nicely and give plenty of heat for the viscous liquid.
