GOOD PRODUCT---BUT PLASTIC IS TOO BRITTLE AND HAS ALREADY A SMALL CRACK WHERE THE BIRDS PERCH TO EAT.GLASS BOTTLE IS VERY GOOD.

After keeping it hanging for a month the Sunbirds finally came and now they come every 10 to 15 minutes throughout the day. It's a very satisfying view.

I've got a pair feeders with metal bases. Dang things are all tarnished and rusty inside and out after only two seasons. So I got one of these. Love this thing. Seems very well made. Good fitment between all pieces. Base is fully plastic, so no opportunity for rust or corrosion. Cleans easy. I like the glass bottle as well. There's a reason this is the number one seller on Amazon. It's a great feeder. I have a high feeder in the yard and a lower one on a shepherd's hook type thing. The hummingbirds have always preferred the high one. I replaced the low one, mostly because it's easier to get to. The birds are definitely favoring the new one. I already have a second one in my cart. I hope this review is helpful to you in making your hummingbird feeder purchase. Take care. :) Update (May 2024): I don't know what it is with the darned flies this year in San Antonio, TX, but they are bad. They have been crawling down into the sugar water. Gross! Was trying to come up with some 3D printable or off the shelf solution and came up empty. So got to thinking about what may work. I have some 24G stainless steel wire. Chucked it up in a drill and twisted it to give it some rigidity. Cut little short pieces at a slight angle to make the ends sharp. Popped out each "flower" and each rubbery piece. Ran that little wire across the lumen right under the rounded rim of the purple piece kinda right at the white flower/purple rim interface) and clipped it. Uploaded a pic. Can see the newly added thin wire running horizontally across the port. Of course, was concerned the birds wouldn't be able to get their beaks into the good stuff. So filled them up a bit, let the fluid settle, then marked the fill line on the bottle, and waited. Good news, the feeders were getting hit. Better news, after an hour or so, the fluid level was noticably lower. Pretty happy how it turned out. Will see how it does to prevent the danged flies from getting in there. Still a five star feeded. Much more action on these than my old ones, but the access ports perhaps could be a little narrower or have a bug guard designed into them.
