This item was purchased for my husband. He has been using Ponds Cold Cream since he was a young man in India. For awhile we were not able to get the product in the stores in Canada, they discontinued carrying it so I was pleased we could order it from Amazon.

Removes every bit of makeup without irritation, every kiss proof, water proof, 24 hr bit. The reason why this product has been around for so long, it works. You don't have to pull at your face or scrub at it to remove your makeup and it won't leave your skin parched either.

My jawline area is plagued with horrible hyperpigmentation due to treatments of electrolysis that didn't go too great. I also have acne scarring from my teenage years. Because of these flaws, I like to wear concealer topped with foundation in that area, which can be a death sentence for my pores if I don't fully clean them at the end of the day. I've tried a lot of different products, but PONDS Cold Cream Cleanser is great--and for the price, it can't be beat! I use some cheap generic makeup wipes that I get from a local drugstore and wipe my face down a bit with it, then slather my face with PONDS Cold Cream Cleanser afterward. I gently massage it into my problematic areas, and take a soft, wet towel to wipe off what makeup remains on my face. Afterward, I follow up with my face wash, and moisturize. This stuff is great. I've yet to encounter a product it can't remove, whether it's some drugstore makeup or more high end stuff from Sephora. It takes off my waterproof Stila eyeliner with as much ease as the expensive "waterproof eye makeup remover" that I bought from Sephora. I'd also like to point out that I have really sensitive skin and this stuff hasn't broke me out at all. If anything, it's greatly decreased the amount of breakouts I've had. Now I only get the occasional pimple and it's always around shark week. All in all, I definitely recommend!

I've used it for years to remove make-up. Don't need super expensive stuff.

After using neutrogena makeup removal towelettes, I use Ponds and a dry textured washcloth to get any remaining foundation or makeup that the towelettes did not remove. It works great. It also serves a base coat before I begin applying all of my night time moisturizers. Great scent and this particualr one comes in a large tub that will last awhile. The mistake people make with cold cream is they think you need to slab it on thick. You do not. You only need a clear coating on your face to moisturize, cleanse, remove makeup, etc. Softens the skin and leaves it feeling refreshed.
