Remember to was atleast once a month
These are amazing I have one in all three of my tanks! now I only have to worry about the water every other week instead of every day.. please keep in mind though when you do change the water do not just add more it needs to be cleaned properly every time! Water gets stagnant when it's just sitting no matter what so to keep your animal from getting sick from moldy water wash it out every so often I do it every other week when it needs a refill even though it looks and smells clean still that's just what I feel is safe.. I have seen old ones where the little divider (pictured) collects mold so take that out clean it then replace it! Height of water bottle about 8in lengthof base about 5.5in width of base about 4.5in height of dish about 2in. P.s it makes my two 10 gallon tanks a little snug but it's worth it to me

Works great for rats playtime
I bought this water bottle for my pet rats. I wanted something I could easily take out of their cage for them to access during free roam time. For this purpose it works great. It's sturdy enough that they don't knock it over and they have access to clean water. They can't fit in the bowl so it doesn't get dirty (unless they drop food in it). When they do the filter keeps it from going back in the bottle making it easy to clean. The only down side is you have to tip the bottle to refill the bowl. That's fine for my purpose because I'm always with them during free roam time. It does defeat the purpose of having a gravity bottle though having to manually fill the bowl. If you want it for something similar to what I'm using it for I would recommend purchasing. If you want it to use as a gravity bottle for being away for a while it probably wouldn't work.

Great water dispenser!
Super easy to use and provides tons of water. The only thing to be aware of is the angle or pitch of the surface it sits on. My daughter has mulch (or something like that) at the bottom of her geckos terrarium, and we went away for a week. The water did refill but the water level was super low. But I believe that was because we had the dispenser tipped *slightly* back so it didn’t fill up as much. Whereas we repositioned it and noticed that tons more water came out of the thing was slanted slightly downward towards the basin part. So just keep that in mind

Leopard Gecko Approved
The media could not be loaded. I bought one to try out and then bought 5 more when it worked. I do wish the base was a bit smaller but it works great for my geckos. If it is on the heat mat it lasts for 4 days, off the heat mat it lasts about 6-7 days.

Blocks up easily, but it's cheap.
There's a piece between the bottle and the tray with really tiny holes in it where the water filters out, but mine regularly blocks up too much to flow by itself, and I have to manually tip the product in order to refill the tray. I tried taking the piece out completely, but within a couple of days dirt had gotten through and without the filter, it floated up into the bottle and dirtied up all of the water - so I put the filter piece back on.While it's a bummer that I have to manually tip the water bottle every day instead of being able to rely on a consistent water supply for my lizard, I don't regret making the purchase. It's still more convenient to tip the bottle every day than to take a bowl out and refill it every day.

Clean water, 1-2 weeks between refills
Bought two; one for a leopard gecko and one for a Hermann’s tortoise. The water lasts about two weeks for the gecko and one week for the tortoise. This is great since I live in a desert and was needing to refill their old dishes every other day. The water stays pretty clean and the transparent bottle allows for easy monitoring. The bowl part does only fill about halfway but that doesn’t deter either animal from drinking and has reliably refilled for the 6 weeks I’ve had them in their enclosures.A vinegar rinse has been keeping the bottles clean so far but I will most likely need to get a dedicated bottle brush to scrub them out occasionally.

Good system with a few quirks, test before you really need it for trips/vacation watering
Works well, just tilt forward if you need it for a longer time.As other reviewers have indicated, you'll need to ensure this waterer is titled forward to ensure the pressure balance works to give your animal more water.I'd highly recommend using this under close supervision for a few days if you're looking to have this provide your pet water while you're out of town for a weekend or few days. Once I got the angle correct, this gave my gecko plenty of hydration when I'd be out of town for 3-4 days. Since his lighting and heating were also automated with a timer, he was comfortable, and this solution meant feeding was the only thing he'd still need (though he only eats once a week).Overall a good solution, but please test before you use this as solution to water while you're away.

Great! Tiny flaw
This works amazing, love it! Theres only one issue, the mesh "gate" at the bottom to keep crickets and such from climbing up inside, seems to be too tiny holes and wont let air/water pass right, meaning that sometimes the basin will run dry even when the tower is full of water, it wont release any until we tap on it a bit and it glugs some out.Super tiny complaint though, so still 5 stars :)
