Works and Looks Great!
These towel holders were perfect for our bathroom. Easily holds a handtowel and keeps them up and out of the way of the countertop. Easy to put up without damaging the walls with holes and they’re beautifully stained.

Great, Easy Solution for a Problem Area
Our small bathroom didn’t have a natural place for a hand towel rack, which has bugged me since we moved in a couple years ago! Based on reviews, I used 3M command Velcro strips to install instead of the adhesive that came with. It looks great, works as expected and was a two minute solution to a nagging problem! Win!

Works, once you figure it out.
Once I figured out what I needed to do to keep the towel on/in the hook and how to remove it, I love them. It takes two hands to put the towel in the hook, it takes one deliberate move to remove the towel. Works best to remove the towel by pulling it to the side, not down. 😊

Do not adhere to door, great design but non functional
I really wanted to love these but they came off immediately after sticking to door. So bought what other reviews suggested and tried to stick again, they lasted for a few more days but came off the door again after a few pulls (which you have to do to remove the towel). Bought two sets so I’m pretty upset these don’t work. Also one of them broke the second time I tried to put on the wall.

fight with the function
These look nice, neat and clean. I love everything about them, but the ball doesn't always want to drop down when removing the towel, which causes it to grab. so I have to glide the towel back and forth to get it to let go and then pull up on the towel like you normally would. I have also had the ball not drop down into place when hanging the towel and it drops to the ground. I have made a habit of placing the towel in flat like you would for hanging, but then curling or rolling the top of the towel over the marble and pulling it down for the grab. I'm not sure what the design issue is exactly, because my mom had one of these when I was growing up and we never had it fail. It had a metal marble which may have more weight to it. That could be the issue, but it could be the marbles path too. not sure, but I'm making it work. If I find another with quality like from my childhood, I will change it out until then.......

Very nice
These are well made holders. Solid wood. Great finish on the wood. They hold as intended.

Beautiful, but incorrectly designed
Our son made one of these slick "magic marble" towel holders in high school wood shop some 30 years ago and we've loved it that long. We recently moved into the "granny flat" and left it in the kitchen for our younger son to continue to enjoy. We tried the regular towel hooks, but they were far too frustrating when you've been able to just quickly dry your hands without pulling the towel off the hook. So, we were pleased to find these here as they are simple, small, and attractive (and match the bamboo flooring), but the design is wrong, which makes them too frustrating to use. The groove in which the marble slides up and down locking and then releasing the towel should be straight, parralel to the front piece, however, you can see from the picture that this groove is curved. This design flaw causes two problems, both of which make this holder more of a PITA than it's worth. The wider gap in the middle of the curve causes the towel not to want to grip and falls out. When you do get enough towel in the throat of the holder, when pulling upwards to release the towel pulls the marble up into the upper part of the curved groove bringing it closer to the front piece and pinching the towel keeping it from releasing smoothly. It then takes two hands to straighten the towel folds and jiggle it past the marble without getting pinched, which defeats the slick function of the original design. Will be returning both, sadly, as these do look very nice and some others were bigger, gaudier and in limited colors.

Really Nice; Except for the Adhesive
These are really nice except for the included adhesive pads. On mine, the adhesive delaminated from the foam pad. Just get your own, better adhesive strips and these are great — look great, function great. Also, to those that have adhered these to paint and had their paint fail: that is not a failing of the product. I would never recommend adhering the weight of a wet, full size towel to a painted wall, because that is relying on the paint to take that weight, which the paint was not designed to do. If you are wanting to put these on a painted wall, you should plan some way to screw/nail them in, or buy some of the ones that have a screw/nail head socket.

Just what I wanted, aside from the size. I took the recommendation of other reviews and ditched the adhesive they gave you - I’m not a fan of glue anyways. I used the 3M command strips and they’ve held on for almost 3 months now, but those make them bulge out a bit if you’re not a fan of that (it’s not too noticeable tho). It does hold longer towels well, you just have to adjust it right as per the instructions. I can also shove two small towels in one btw.
