I like the little "furnace" and it will be perfect for most of what I need. I just fired it up and did the 'burnout' for its first firing. I have two small items that are not positive but not very negative. 1) It is small. Exactly the dimensions listed but still surprisingly small. That is good for storing it when not in use but it shocked me when I unboxed it, 2) It needs better instructions. I looked up the controller manufacturer's instructions on line. Between what came with the unit and the control instructions I figured it out. If all I had to go by was what shipped with the furnace I would have been guessing. For example, the instructions don't say how to put into programming mode. They tell you what to program but not how to get into programming mode or which buttons to push to input that program. Overall - I am happy with the little furnace. I will start heat treating steel tomorrow! Updated - Worked great. Now that I know how to program it I bought another of these controls to modify a ceramic kiln to be the heat treating oven and will use this for tempering.

This oven's electrical system is ALL WRONG for this unit. I did the initial heating to burn off manufacturing residue, WITHOUT USING THE ELECTRICAL TIMING SYSTEM, and it was perfect. Next time I did everything by the book, and i have 20+ years using this EXACT type of kiln, mind you, and the thing wouldn't even reach the 1st break temp! Over & over tried every trick in the book while we tried to reach SOMEBODY/ANYBODY for assistance, a manual, or an exchange/refund to no avail, long after the 30-day window. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS SELLER!

Good. It was nicely wrapped had no dents or scratches looks good on inside and out. haven't had a chance to try it yet. Bad. first Amazon sent me a message saying UPS couldn't ship it, then UPS sent me a note saying I had to drive across town to sign for it, at the UPS store they said there was a no release on the package. finally after a half hour the UPS person got the go ahead to release it to me, no signature required. Ugly. The instructions they sent are terrible they made little or no since, one of the pages was fuzzy and hard to read. i tried logging onto the YouTube they listed but for some reason i kept getting a does not exist notice. finally i found the official manufactures YouTube which was very nice and informative.

Was a little skeptical on this., but wow! Great kiln. video on how to do burn in and set program was easy to follow. Programming can be a little tedious but if you write out what you want in a list it goes easily enough. Used to heat treat some D2 Tooling Steel. Heat up at 400 degrees per hour to pre-soak temp, then take it up to 1850° and hold an hour. Worked wonderful. 3-17-23 - update: done several types of heat treating and tempering of dies. Fired some clay molds. Loving this furnace for my coining projects.

The product was easy to use and was able to be up and running within minutes of receiving the Kiln. The work envelope is as described, but a little smaller than I had thought. I wish they would make a larger kiln. Overall, the product works, rather simple to program (once you read ALL of the instructions) and maintains an accurate temperature.

My intention was to use this to smelt copper, gold and silver. It really struggled to melt just a few ounces of copper at a time. I'm not entirely sure why. I've purchased a top opening kiln from the same manufacturer that did great. It just wasn't big enough to do what I wanted so I bought this one instead which doesn't work nearly as well. Programming it is also needlessly complicated. My original kiln was great, turn it on and select a temperature. THIS one you have to program a starting temp, a goal temp, how long it should take to get to the goal temp and how long it should maintain that temp. Not fun.

I contacted them and told them that I wanted a replacement they told me that I was responsible for not only sending back the unit, but also paying for the replacement to fix it so all the money that I spent on this furnace Was basically just thrown in the trash. I cannot use it unusable and I’m responsible for fixing it when it was sent as a defective unit to Me.

I was so excited when I finally had enough money to purchase this and even more excited when I received the slip telling me it came. It's so small and cute and really packs a lot of power. Anyone who is low on space and needs a starter kiln or just an extra one should really check this out. It was totally worth the money.
