Well, I got this bc I saw a "How to" video on FB, using a hair pick like this one to insert into onions, tomatoes, veggies, etc. and be able to slice - then dice if desired- various foods. Works pretty well, tho I usu. slice thru every other tine, since they are set pretty close together. For a hair pick, I'm pretty sure it would work great... the tines are nice and long.

I got this for a Halloween costume. I needed it to stick out of a huge, bushy Afro wig, and it did so perfectly. The tines were long enough that I could stick them into the part of the wig that holds it on your head, so it could stay in there firmly while still being visible. I was also able to use it as intended throughout the day, to keep my afro nice and bushy and picked out.
