Saragli (Baklava Fingers) with Nuts and Syrup, Traditional Greek Handmade Pastry, Net Weight 1kg

Happy to recommend these to anyone who likes baclava. Imho you'll not find better unless you visit the Med. They're unctuously sticky with plenty of syrup, nutty, flaky and beautifully sweet but not sickly. The amount you get for the money is ridiculous and my only problem is limiting myself to a couple of pieces every other day with my Turkish coffee - I could so easily stuff myself silly with these. I hope anyone who buys them enjoys then as much as I have. Incidentally, a few reviewers have mentioned the packaging leaking. Have to say mine were well packed and sealed with absolutely no problem with leakage. They come double packed with a heavy cellophane seal plus a lid and they lost no syrup in transit. Enjoy.

Tough in more ways than one. I purchased this product on the back of good reviews, and also having bought a previous item from this Seller. However my experience was not that of other reviewers, and I have eaten Baklava from every country that eats the stuff since I have visited 81 countries in my lifetime. The packaging was sufficient to keep the huge amount of syrupy stuff within the sticky package. It is supposed to be flavoured with lemon and cinnamon - all I could taste was sweetness. The nuts were apparent in the mixture. The phyllo pastry bore absolutely no resemblance to the description, was as tough as leather to cut through, not a bit of crispiness/flakiness. Chewing the stuff was extremely difficult, like chewing on old rags. Rarely do I bin food but on this occasion 3/4s was binned. On contacting the Seller, a refund was refused as the Seller put this particular inferior disaster down to 'people have different tastes'. The taste was not in question, the problem was the phyllo pastry was inedible, and not fit for purpose. The Seller was given the opportunity to rectify the matter before this review was posted but was not prepared to refund as a sign of good faith. At a guess, and I could find no date on the product, I would say mine was Stale. As the product is currently no longer available at the time of writing this review I can only conclude that mine was the last of a batch. Shame, as I love Greece, love greek food, and have been to Greece many times - but never had tough baklava.UPDATE: After having refused to refund (and no offer of replacement) I made the above review. Since then the Seller has now had the cheek to email saying new stock arrived and asking for my feedback, making it look as if my transaction was of the new stock, whereas mine was obviously the last in stock of a previous delivery and probably been hanging around for months as it was tough, stale, inedible. During this Convid19 lockdown period this is the second item I have purchased where a Seller has passed off rubbish. This is not good enough, thus I vote with my feet and shall not be purchasing anymore items from this Seller.

Very tasty greek sweet pastry. It’s full of nuts but not as syrupy as the original baklava pastry. Amazing packaging.

T try his was sooo good. Really tasty my only criticism is that the packaging was incredibly sticky even though it was double wrapped, I loved it but think I prefer the variety packs of baklava you can buy, just because you get different textures and flavours. I would buy again though.

This is hands down the BEST baklava I’ve EVER tasted in this country. I’ve ordered baklava from Amazon before but it was nowhere near fresh or sweet and syrupy so I stopped ordering for a while. However, a few days ago, I was craving baklava again (sweet tooth -.-) and stumbled upon a different baklava from this same seller and ordered it along with other items but accidentally cancelled my order. The seller however was so polite and asked if something was wrong with the product which I then explained wasn’t the case as I hadn’t received it from amazon (exceptional customer service by the way, thank you!)So anyways, I then ordered this Saragli even though it had no reviews because it looked good and it was supposed to be delivered today in the morning but I missed the delivery because I decided to sleep in ugh >_< I thought it would be redelivered tomorrow as amazon emailed but I got it just now (7 hours later) and it’s still FRESH and syrupy not stale or dry like the ones I’ve ordered from other sellers before. I am SO happy and pleased with the order and will definitely be ordering again. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!! Best baklava ever, you won’t regret this purchase!!

I eat a lot of baklava and have since I was a child and I must say I had high hopes for this one conserving the seller said ‘You will not be disappointed’ however it didn’t live upto the hype. It’s quite hard and the packaging was a mess. It’s not the worst I have had but defiantly not the best either.

The saragli was amazing. from the phyllo to the filling! The syrup had escaped outside the tray, though the packaging didn't allow any leaks. I will buy again

Reçu bien emballé et bien sucré. Les emballages percés , du sirop partout. Quant au goût ....du sucre, la pâte filo.... un rouleau de feuilles humides de sirop et donc nullement croquantes..... quant aux noix je les cherche encore !!!!Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est !!!! A déconseiller !!!

n'espérez aps gouter de baklavas, même en supermarché ils sont meilleursarôme artificiel non identifié ( rose ?), pâtisserie dure mais coulante au delà du raisonnableamateur de baklavas, vitez cet achat

emballage non étanche donc tout a coulé...concernant le goût et la consistance, c'est très moyen.rien à voir avec de vrais baklawas, tout au plus de la grosse cuisine industrielle

Autant commander 1 litre d'huile de médiocre qualité... bref!
