Edited for spelling error. I have a few very blessed girls with thick bouncy natural spiral curls. However, the strait haired girls want the curly hair and my loves with the salon worthy curls desire better strait irons. My curl nation children like me tend to just throw our hair into buns rather than fight the mane, attempt to control or tame the awesomeness of our hair. I gave up, I went bald due to medication and choose to stay this way rather than deal with hours of hair maintenance. The children however, use buns; wild, long, messy, complex, sometimes even braided. These do hold, in the beginning these are best of all rubber band brands that I have tried. sadly, after the third use the elastic begins to give on us and the girls are in need of a new set of rubber bands by month 3. It is what it is, and until someone takes the time to R&D rubber bands for full long curly hair, we will just continue to deal with our situations.

My favorite brand of hair tie

These are quality hair ties. Nothing special, but they are good quality, stretchy, fairly thick, consistent color, and I got a lot of them for half of what some others cost.

This is my preferred ponytail holder; I can get a few days of wear out of each before they stretch out too much. Less hair damage; low cost!

‣‣ These hair ties are good, but they are just average. I've seen better hair ties for a much cheaper price at a wide range of stores, even the 99¢ store which is pretty crazy! These hair ties do the job but can be snapped and broken easily with even a moderate amount of pulling or force. I bought this bundle because I tend to lose hair ties fairly easily and need many around the house, but I've found that they are very tight and hard to stretch/use without some light stretching first. If not done, they may be ripped easily. Other than that, they are good, just not amazing; however, don't settle for less when you can have better quality ties at a cheaper price.

For sure better than the dollar store brand. It’s not as tight as first but tight enough and the elastic does not wear down as fast

My family really likes the size and tightness level of these; they work perfectly for our quite thick hair.
