Fantastic quality for a great price!
These are really nice - the actual spur is real metal and the whole thing has a very satisfying weight and a great jingle-sound when you walk. My little cowboy loves these! The only thing I don't really like is the color of the vinyl strap - it's very, very pale and looks kind of odd on brown leather boots, but it could easily be replaced with a different strap. I'm so glad I purchased this set over the slighty cheaper set that was most likely just junky plastic. You will be happily surprised with the quality of these.

Very sturdy and looks great!
Very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of these spurs! Simple to install and adjust. The leather piece that goes over the top has two slots on each side to fit any childās shoe size and the jangly metal chain that goes under the boot arch is easy to adjust by removing a link or two. At this price I am so happy with the quality. My grandson just loves them!

Broke right away
Got these for our daughter's 6th birthday. They broke the second time she used them. ā¹ļø She wasn't even being hard on them. They look great and make a great jingling sound when walking. But I don't advise buying.

Great Cowboy Fun...but Easily Breakable
Got these spurs for my 5 year old to go with with his cowboy boots and hat. They look great. My son loved their shine. On top of that, they are easy attach to the average kid's cowboy boot. They make the classic spur sound when the little cowboy of cowgirl walks. My son was thrilled with them. Until one of them broke. The spur snapped off as he was playing outside. My examination of the metal revealed the spurs are constructed of what my dad used to call pot metal--brittle and susceptible to breakage. It may be that my boy was playing a little bit too hard. I don't know. But if these spurs are just meant for gentle play indoors they are definitely not for my son. He likes to put on his jeans, western shirt, hat, six guns, and boots and play cowboys and bandits with his brothers. The spurs only added to the fun until the break occurred. In sum: A great product but to be played with at least moderately gently.

good quality spurs
The spurs are actual metal and will fit young kids & adults. They are of good quality but be careful if you have any child under 6 years old that have small feet. They just fit the 6 year old (average size feet) and wasn't a problem for the 9 year old. The straps are easy enough to adjust to fit any shoe or boot. I love the gentle "ching" sound when they walked. Also the spurs have rounded tips on them so there are no sharp points or edges.

Worth it, nice and sturdy
Made nice, but a little loud when my little one walks. Purchased for a 6 year old. He loves them. The only thing that is a little strange is that the chain that holds the spur to the boot goes on the underside of the boot, because of this, when he walks the chain part hits our hardwood floors making a lot of noise. Would be better if they fit over the boot. Either way. He's been wearing them off and on for a month and so far they've held up nicely and he is very hard on things. Would recommend. These are on a boys size 3 boot. Updated. Holds up well

Howdy pardner
I got these spurs for my son's 4th birthday. The spur frame is thick plastic, the strap that holds them on the boot is plastic and the chain that goes under the boot is metal. They held up surprisingly well, and made a nice "ching ching ching" sound when you walk (cowboy sound effects). They are adjustable to different foot/boot sizes. They were played with regularly and taken on and off the boots many times. They didn't break until almost 2 years later. For the few bucks I spent on them, I got my money's worth. Fun addition for any little boy who likes to play cowboy. I would buy them again.

surprisingly sturdy.
I thought that these would be plastic or at least alot cheaper looking. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Granted they are for a halloween costume but the quality is surprisingly very good. and they fit over my boots fine. Except the strap which IS cheap plastic was too small (I wear a womens US sz 10). So I made my own spur straps out of an old belt
