The way these things work is, you attach one or two of them to the top of the picture, bulletin board, etc. that you are hanging and then you attach two to the wall upside down and they lock together. It really is a simple and secure way to hang all sorts of things. Some folks complained that the holes in each hanger are not drilled at the same height. That is true and I can see how that would make using them more challenging for someone who is not all that handy, but it's really not that big of a problem. You just measure where the bracket should be, drill one hole, level the bracket, and then drill the other hole. They are a perfect fit in the predrilled holes and they hold very securely. If you use a drill to screw them into the drywall, do not go all the way with the drill. Hand tighten the last 1/4 inch or so. These screws do not require any anchors at all and can be used on pretty much any wall surface. Overall, I have to say that these hangers work great and they are very easy to use. I will be purchasing more of them.

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure how many clips to expect in the package...I ordered with 2-day shipping (Prime) and it showed up less than 24 hours after ordering. Still blows my mind how this is possible...The package arrived and had 20 clips in it (so 10 sets total).I was pleased to see this many because I needed 6 sets for my project and I would have had to order another set if it arrived with only 10 clips.I used longer 30" french cleats for the main structure - I was hanging 80+lb shelving on the wall. The 30" cleats worked for the main weight bearing, but the bottoms of the structures could be pulled away from the wall easily - resulting in the entire shelf to move slightly upwards (due to the design of a french cleat at 45 degree angles.)I used these Z-clips to attach the bottom corners of my shelving to the wall. The entire structure is incredibly solid now!I was also worried about them sliding left to right once up on the wall. It's not an issue, at least in my case. There is enough weight that it won't budge.I actually had to adjust it a few centimeters to the left/right and tried using a wood block and hammer to tap it into location. Wouldn't budge - I had to have a friend help lift and move the entire shelf to adjust it's placement.All in all. Highly recommended for attaching heavy objects to the wall.Make sure you find a stud!!I bet these clips can hold a serious amount of static weight. As long as someone doesn't jump on my shelf, I think it'll have no trouble holding.

The ones I received did not have Eagle Clip stamped on them like the picture shows. They also looked to be hand cut and drilled -- rough edges on the holes and the left and right sides are not smooth or even in some cases-- top and bottom edges are fine. For my application -- a 24 x 24 heavy handmade wooden chalk board -- this was not an issue but may be for some applications. Does not come with any hardware but are very sturdy and, unlike the 12 inch z hanger I ordered, these do stay flat against the wall. Harder to install evenly but a better fit overall. For smaller applications I will continue to use the cheaper bar picture hangers.

Used these to attach 2x4's to a steel beam for a soffit so I didn't need to drill holes in it. they worked perfectly even though its not what they were designed for.

These clips work very simply to hold objects to the wall. Once a clip(s) are installed on a wall with the opening facing up, you install another the other clip(s) on the item you want to hang. Make sure that you have measured how far apart multiple sets are, whether hanging vertically or horizontally. Match the distance both on the wall and item, and then hang.One note of caution from experience - if you are hanging a wooden product, test the amount of warp in the item. We were hanging a large wooden cross and it was warped slightly enough that we didn't notice until trying to hang and realizing one set of clips wouldn't make contact.For that project we used five pairs of clips on a 65 lb. solid wood cross (church use). The wall mounted clips were screwed into studs, and all is well. It is very secure.I recommend these simple clips for hanging any item that you may need, so long as the item is big enough to hide the clips.

I used five pairs of these clips to secure a large, heavy, antique fireplace surround and mantle to the wall, and they work great. (The weight of the mantle is mostly on the ground; I used the clips to secure it in place so that it doesn't pull away.) Getting everything to line up was a little aggravating, but that is to be expected; it just required a little patience. I was surprised that there were no screws included.

I purchased these to hang my kids growth charts but I am finding that they are very handy for all kinds of other things too. They are easy to hang and makes putting up heavy items a breeze. It does not come with screws and it would be nice if the screws that are screws and anchors would fit in it but it works great for hanging those heavy items. We just got a very heavy mirror for our bathroom and the small picture frame hangers that are on it are laughable so I will be replacing them with these before I hang my beautiful mirror and risk it falling.
