Affordable and easy to install, quality control could use improvement
I bought two of these to replace the rear shocks on my 2004 Jeep grand cherokee. Was very easy to install, only issue was that one shock had the dust hood on the bottom and the other shock it was on the top. Would’ve preferred both dust hoods to be on the top but I already had the car on jacks and was halfway through the job when I realized it. Took about 20-30 minutes to install each shock.

Shockingly good!
With over 140K miles on it, my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee was overdue for not only replacement shocks, but a little lift to clear some slightly oversized tires. I opted for the Air Lift 1000 and these shocks, based on Internet reviews of the Monroe products compared with other brands and models. What a difference! The Air Lifts give it just enough height without looking like something to go mudding in, and the Sensa-Tracs smooth out the bumps with just a little Jeep 4x4 machismo. I've noticed a substantial reduction in body lean on the curves, not sure if it's the Air Lifts or the Monroes but some will tell you that's more anti-sway bar. After I replace the front struts, we'll see about an oversized anti-sway. But for now my aging Jeep has new life and new lift in its bounce. I highly recommend the Sensa-Tracs based on cost and value.

Ride is nominal, but shocks were noisy on my application
My application is a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As far as ride stability, these shocks are OK. No major issues with that. My biggest rub with these shocks is they are noisy. Had these shocks on and my jeep was making the infamous jeep clunk in the rear of the vehicle when you hit the most minor of bumps. Changed them out for another set of 37162 shocks and the clunk went away. After a 12K road trip I changed them out again in 2017 with another set of 37162. Withing 2500 miles my clunk was back. Just changed them out again today with a set of KYB shocks and the clunk is now gone.

Worked for 5 months, Still works but with Lots of Noise
Bought these to replace OEM Shocks on my 1999 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee. They did the trick! At least I'll say they did the trick for about 5 months. The shocks are still working however now there is noise. What once was a smooth and quiet ride is now riddled with the sounds of the shocks. All bolts, nuts, housings, grommets, etc etc are tight and as should be but the noise still persists. What I can say is it's a 50/50 at this point because the shock on the rear passengers side is what is rattling around every time the car is driven. Quite a shame considering up till then they did indeed work splendidly.

Good purchase for the price
I replaced all four shocks on my 1999 Grand Cherokee Laredo at 115k miles. The old ones are junk covered with heavy rust. The installation was easy. I could have done it without removing wheels, but I did it just to give more room. With the new shocks the ride was much smoother and has less body roll. However it did feel night and day improvement like I wished. They are a little bit too soft to my preference.

Monroe Sensa-Trac Shock Absorber
I purchased the Monroe Sensa-Trac Shock Absorbers for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. My son, a machanic, recommended Monroe Sensa-Trac because he liked to use them for all his customers because they are reliable. I checked the Monroe web site and found that they make 3 versions of the Monroe shocks for my jeep. An economy version, a street version, and heavy version for off-road. I chose the street version Sensa-Trac (front # 37161 & BACK # 37162) because that's how I drive the most and the price was good (low $40 range). I found them a good buy and easy to put on the Jeep. This is a good shock to purchase. Check around for the best price.

better your Jeep's ride for less than 3 hours.
replaced original once on WJ 2002 Limited. Spent 3 hours replacing all 4 ( note: one of the front shocks was missing a bolt so I had to find similar machine bolt to finish the job. Do not use non-machine bolts from HD or other stores). I did not lift the Jeep. Did it all on my driveway. I did not use any power tools. The ride is way better now smoother and not as noisy. Visually my jeep looks lifted now. Tip: remove plastic retention after shock is installed by clipping it with side cutters.
