Safe
I didn't like the fact that no instructions came with the product, but paying attention to the picture provided it was pretty easy to figure out how to make it work in your own vehicle. I have had no issues with this product since installation.

Dont put youre kids in this deathtrap... it isnt stable it doesnt sit still and moves side to side... youd had to drill holes and but a bolt and nut through wherever it is in ur car in order to make it work... even then... i dont think it would work too well..

Works for the purpose intended
Instructions are very vague, even with video illustration. The pieces serve the purpose of giving a seat attachments for a car seat. There isn’t a way to permanently anchor the metal to the seat, so in theory it works, but isn’t fully preventative of shifting/movement. The added security is strapping the car seat hooks as tight as possible to hooks and tightening. Our Chevy Tahoe did not have anchor hooks on all seats, so this is why we purchased this product.

Doesnt fit all vehicle seats..
I used for my daughters carseat.. Have a 98 dodge caravan.. Unfortunately it fit too loosely and had drill into the bench seats frame to attach this.. But after all that.. Its perfect .. Very secure... Will use again if needed

Not great, but functional
The product did not come with the plastic pieces that allow easier hookup. Also, it did not work well in my 01 Tahoe but it does function to hold in booster seats.

DEATH TRAP!!!
This is a DEATH TRAP!! It is NOT CRASH TESTED or approved by any vehicle or seat manufacturer. I have been a certified child passenger safety technician for 13 years. With this product, you are essentially tying your child & their seat to the back of the vehicle seat with an untested piece of metal. Or worse, just attaching the lower anchors to it, so that when it fails in a crash, your baby & their seat FLY OUT OF YOUR CAR! It is perfectly safe to JUST USE THE SEATBELT in your vehicle. Lower anchors were invented as a convenience only & are not required. The TOP TETHER ANCHOR is very important for forward facing seats (never used rear facing), but not required by most manufacturers in the US.

Works great in my mom's car
We are only able to install it on one side of her back seat. Her Honda Civic has a 60/40 fold down and the hinge gets in the way of the other side to install..
