Not meant for everyday use
Boots were and are great. The are comfy and i receive tons of compliments. They are not made for every day use. I wore them for two weeks 10 hours a day and the sole is seperating. I like to idea of supporting a start up but the price is too high for something that doesnt hold up.

Not wat I expected
These are great looking boots and very comfortable straight out of the box. Having said that, my first pair was defective. I contacted the company, and they said to either return or take the boots to a cobbler and submit a receipt for the repair. I returned and purchased another pair. The second pair was defective as well. Some sort of clicking noise in the bottom of the boot when pressure applied. Upon contacting the company I was offered the same options. Now, while I appreciate the company’s willingness to cover the cost of repair, I don’t feel I should be wasting time fixing brand new boots. I’ve been buying boots for over 20 years and never had to fix or return any. Surely things happen and sometimes we get defective merchandise, but 2 in a row? Seems odd. I really wish to own a pair of these boots because they are truly unique and I like the company’s story, but am very hesitant to purchase again at this time

Very comfortable!
I've been wanting to get a pair of these for a long time, but just couldn't stomach the price. When I saw a $50 off offer right before Christmas, I pulled the trigger on a pair of Shiloh's. I generally can't stand to wear boots or shoes that cover my ankles (I always get blisters), but these are padded with the softest calfskin, so I decided to give them a try. I ordered my regular shoe size and they fit great. So far, no rubbing or blistering at all. My boots matched perfectly despite seeing multiple people say that they were mismatched. I also did not have any black marks on the leather as some others had experienced. There was one thing that I did have to do when I first put them on. The left boot had a very uncomfortable spot on the top left side of my foot. It sounds stupid, but it felt like someone was jamming a knife into the top of my foot. Upon details inspection, it was coming from a sewed seam right where 2 pieces of leather and the tongue came together on the inside. The stitching wasn't right on the edge of the leather, so the excess part was folding over when I put my foot in, causing a LOT of pain. I contemplated sending them back, but decided to take a pair of scissors from the kitchen and trim the excess off so it wouldn't fold over. It was a very small bit, but it made a night and day difference once I removed it.The only other item of concern is what others have mentioned. The pull tab on the back of the boots doesn't look like it's stitched in all that strong. I suspect that if I used it repeatedly, it would come loose. My answer is to just use a long shoehorn to slip these on and off.I'm hoping to get many many miles out of them. OH....and the smell of this leather is fantastic!!!

I really wanted to like these. The fit is ok
It is a bummer, because I never spend this kind of money on myself. I really wanted to like these. The fit is ok, I found that they hurt my feet, but I put a footbed from a sports store in and that helps, but the real problem is that the first week wearing them three eyelets cane out. I contacted the company and they said take it to a cobbler and have it fixed. Ok, no biggie. I do that, wear them again another week, two other ones fall out. Alright, take it back to my local shoe cobbler and get those fixed, and ask him to check the others. I kid you not, one more has now fallen out. I just think they are made poorly, and while they were willing to reimburse me with proper reciepts(which I never sent them cause it was only like $10 a time) I am just over having my boots getting fixed every other week. Would have been nice if they would have offered a new pair, but I get it. If you get some I hope you just have some better luck.

Great Boots, cheap laces.
I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5 because the boots fit great, (Left fits perfect and the right is slightly big, but that’s just my feet), but after less than a month, one of the laces busted. If you’re going to sell Boots at a premium price, don’t skimp on the laces. So, do yourselves a favor and order some heavy duty 72” laces when you buy these.

Two month update: I have grown to love this boot
*update: I have worn these for 2 months now, and I have grown to love this boot. I used mink oil which darkened and softened them. Looks great, feels great.I dont love the $190 price tag, but I used some reward points and got them for $126, which is a fair price. There are some nicks and blemishes in the mid sole that occured during manufacturing (see pics), but I've seen Red Wings with similar blemishes. The insole is not as comfy as I hoped, so like every other boot, I have replaced the insole. The shoelaces are oddly cheap looking. Replace them.Overall it is a good looking boot, and I have received a few compliments. The leather midsole is a very handsome look, better than the dark rubber on other boots. The leather is legit good quality. They are classic looking; nothing flashy or edgy, just a straightforward sturdy boot.I like that this is an up-and-coming boot company. Cant wait to see this company grow and offer more variety.
