Sigma Beauty F85 Airbrush Kabuki Brush (F82 Round Kabuki Brush)

I hemmed and hawed over purchasing this brush because I am very skeptical about online reviews since some can be fake or exaggerated, but I finally broke down and bought it after watching a review video on YouTube. I'm so glad I did!!! I used to apply my foundation with my hands until I bought an E.L.F foundation brush at my local Target. It seemed fine so I was using it for a long while as I debated this brush. (It's important that you know that it has only been in the past year that I've been buying more expensive make-up vs. drugstore stuff so I could never justify spending so much for a make-up application brush.) This brush is truly amazing! First of all, I purchased it from Etailz, one of the Sigma approved Amazon retailers. As a Prime member, I received my brush in two days in perfect condition and I am positive it is a real Sigma product as it has all the markers other reviewers said a real brush should have. Then I used the brush and I was blown away at how flawless my foundation came out that day! The brush is super soft and dense and the product just went on perfectly. I applied like I always do: pumped some product onto the back of my hand, dipped my brush in, and started at the center of my face, working my way out and up with smooth, circular strokes. I worked it all in and was thrilled at the the end result. Now, I am going to say that I am a firm believer that the foundation you use makes a huge difference as well (I use YSL Touche Eclat so it's a higher-end foundation that itself goes on flawlessly) but I most definitely noticed a difference between the application with the E.L.F brush and this one - there was absolutely no comparison! This brush is my new go to and I would re-purchase it in a heartbeat. Just be sure to purchase either from one of the approved sellers so you know you're getting a real Sigma brush (another reviewer listed them in a previous review) or go right through Sigma. I went with Amazon b/c of the super fast, free shipping from Prime. You won't regret your purchase, I promise! :)

The reviews are right. This is an amazing brush! It works better than any egg sponge I have tried, spreading foundation evenly and smoothly.

I have never heard of Sigma Brushes until recently, but I had been stalking the Sephora platinum Airbrush foundation brush SEPHORA COLLECTION Professionnel Platinum Air Brush #55 Professionnel Platinum Air Brush for a while, but couldn't pull the trigger on it because of the price tag. So I tried this round top Kabuki instead. I completely LOVe this brush! I was not sure if I should get this brush or the flat top Kabuki, I am glad I got this one because it gets in under my eyes as well as a wider application area. Actually this brush now doubles as my foundation AND concealer brush! I used this with my Bobbi Brown concealer Creamy Concealer Kit - Warm Beige - Bobbi Brown - Complexion - Creamy Concealer Kit - - , AND my coastal Scents camouflage palette Coastal Scents Professional Camouflage Concealer Palette , and the application under my eye was flawless. No streaks, no dry globby bits of product stuck in the tiny crinkles under my eyes! (I originally thought about returning the Bobbi Brown concealer because it was kind of chunky and thick when I put it on with my normal concealer brush) I literally just dab the brush in my concealer pot or pan, and starting in the crook between my nose and my eyes and sweep the brush back and forth under my eye and along the top of my cheekbone. It works even with my eyes closed, no need for a seperate brush for application and then another for blending. I used to use a flat synthetic paddle brush to pick up the product and apply it to my face, and then a fluffy eyeshadow brush (MAC 224) to blend it out so it looks natural. NOT ANYMORE! I have found the best brush for the task and it was like half the price of the brush I was originally thinking about buying. In the words of one Mr. Charlie Sheen: hello, "WINNING!"

I've had this brush for 1 year. I came back to purchase another one and they've raised the price by $11. No thanks.

This was sort of an "impulse" buy....I was looking for a face cream by Salma Hayek and I happened to see these brushes. I pondered......my Bare Minerals kabuki brush is old so I rationalized that I could actually use a new brush and I liked the look of this one with the longer handle. I went ahead and ordered, then right away had buyers remorse, thinking to myself that I probably should not have spent that much money on the brush. When the brush arrived, I was worried when I saw that the bristles were much "shorter" in length than my Bare Minerals kabuki. BUT......when I first used it.....I was THRILLED. My Bare Minerals foundation with this brush was MUCH BETTER than my original B.M. kabuki. The coverage was MUCH better, and I ended up using LESS makeup. This brush was WAY worth the money, I am so so glad I bought it!!!! If you are wondering about this one.....GO FOR IT. This brush will be your favorite brush, no question. I love it with my mineral foundation. ************* UPDATE: I've been using my Sigma kabuki brush for a couple months now, and I am still over the moon in love with it. Every time I use it I am so glad I stumbled upon it here on Amazon. This is by far the best brush I've ever used for my mineral foundation application. It makes the makeup go on smoothly, evenly and effortlessly. I have very blotchy skin with some redness, and the coverage with this brush is far superior to the Bare Escentuals kabuki. And I need less makeup than with the B.E. kabuki, yet I get great coverage. My skin looks like porcelain after applying my makeup with this brush, I kid you not. I can't say enough about this brush. If you are considering buying this one, do not hesitate. You will be very happy with it!!
