Excellent Flash for the Money!
I'm a full time wedding photographer and having a flash or four is necessary when covering dark receptions. The recycle time between flashes is quick and the brightness is excellent at any level you need it. Such a better deal than a Canon brand flash. I've used this 560-IV model after upgrading from the 560-III. I have used them for several years! Just be careful dropping them. They bust open at the slightest fall.

I can't say enough good things about the YN560 flashes
I can't say enough good things about the YN560 flashes. I have been using them since the very first model came out. Now I have read many reviews about flashes either miss firing or just craping out. I would like to state I am a pro photographer and have used many different triggering systems and flashes and to me this is the best bang for the buck. Now keeping that in mind I do buy 4 new flashes every other year and keep 2 spares in my bag at all times. So far (knock on wood) I have not had a single one crap out and have had them on stands that have fallen and other things have broken but the flashes still go on!

Best bang for the buck for Speedlight photography.
As a professional commercial photographer, I was skeptical about using anything other than my Nikon flashes for professional work, but I needed something lightweight I could take to pro-bono shoots (publicity photos for a local theatre company) that I could set up quickly and control the output remotely. I started out with 2 YN560-III's and they performed beautifully with the 603 triggers. Next I bought a YN560-TX and my life got instantly better. I no longer had to run around to each flash and dial in the power setting - I could just do it from camera. Now I use the Yongnuo's as my go-to flashes - even for pro work. I still have my nikons for when I need TTL (I rarely use TTL - only for event photography) and my large studio strobes for when the job calls for them, but the Yongnuo's are the first ones I set up 90% of the time. In fact, I'm strongly considering trading in my old Calumet Travelites for a set of strobes where I can adjust the power wirelessly like I can with the Yongnuo's.I will say that in the photography world, more often than not you get what you pay for, but these flashes are the exception to the rule. They are not perfect by any means, but with some TLC and some time spent deciphering the instructions, these flashes perform very well.

If you know what you're getting these are awesome
First off for most camera's these do NOT do Through the Lens Metering (TTLM). This means they do not automatically adjust in power to ensure proper exposure, you have to set them yourselves. Take either test shots, or use a light meter to figure out the flash setting. TTLM while nice, isn't a necessity, and for 95% of your lighting setups it's going to be useless anyway. If you are looking for a flash to supplement/replace your on camera flash, and you're not using a multi-light setup etc (in other words you basically just want your pictures to be brighter!) then this is probably not a great flash. It can certainly be used that way, but it doesn't offer the point and shoot simplicity other flashes do. Get a flash specific for your camera body that features TTLM, set it up and don't worry about it again. If you want a rugged reliable workhorse flash with a ton of great features like remote activation via the built in radio receivers and transmitters, with multiple groups and remote power level setting, these are awesome. If you're good with not using TTLM then these are solid gold for a price of not much more than a couple sets of good batteries. If you want to learn lighting these are great as well, as it's all on you to create your image the way you want it to.Highly, highly, recommend.

Great light, great features, great value
I got this because I needed light, not debt. I use this 560 with another Yongnuo flash, and I connect them remotely with their built-in WiFi components. Great for indoors with ceilings below 10’ to bounce this light nicely (more speedlights, slightly higher clearance tolerated).I went back and forth on which new-brand speedlights to buy and decided that Yongnuo was smart because their remote triggers are so reasonable and the speedlights have many strong features for the price. If Yongnuo can build and maintain strong customer service with North America (I haven’t had to communicate with them because my equipment is working great), this could be a great company to follow.

four units, 100% failure in under 6 months.
I bought 4 of these Yongnuo YN560 IV units 6 months ago. They have not been used much, just two mayor events of several hours each. After my last event I was very confused on to why the batteries lasted so little. All four flashes needed new batteries at the same time so I was surprised but unconcerned but they were all set to 1/4 power so I didn't understand. As I tried to figure out the issue I realize the flashes were shooting all at full power, all the time. The controls on the flash don't work anymore to regulate power, it always fires at full. I even have the Yongnuo YN560-TX remote unit and it ignores the power settings from it too.The fact that all 4 units failed the same way is totally unacceptable and from the looks of it I'm not the only one. I thought I had found a winner but it seems the Yongnuo YN560 IV is bad.If your flash still works make sure you can still regulate the power output. This problem was not obvious at first and took me a while to realize it was there.

Flawless for the price
Amazing features and quality!Just lacks HSS that's on the most expensive speedlights but that's not required in studio settings.
