this is the best battery soldering iron i have ever used. My son had one and borrowed it for soldering brass rods to form masts for my model boats. FANTASTIC

I have a few tools by Milwaukee and they do seem good quality. This soldering iron meets that quality. It's the full package including case, single battery, charger and iron. The charger does come with UK 13A plug but if it didn't I have a charger from other tools. It heats up quite quickly and does a good job on electrical soldering jobs. Comes with two tips, pointed and flat blade although I will need some more spares soon I think. Overall it feels good in the hand and does stand on the battery end to allow hands free if required. I have two other spare batteries but they are easily available if it's used all day on site etc. Overall I'd recommend Milwaukee tools and this one is perfect for me.

2 PIN PLUG - soldering iron is brilliant, heats up in 30 seconds, love the torch light, excellent battery time, small compact carry case (no dedicated place for a spare battery there is room for one but it's not secure so rattles around the box) why the one star review, seller does not state anywhere that this is not a U.K. Spec kit, the charger has a 2 pin plug not U.K. 3 pin which is dam annoying, why did I not send it back? I needed it for a job the following day so no time to exchange, plus I had no problems registering the tool on the Milwaukee web page extending the warranty to 3 years. 10 out of 10 for the soldering iron 0 for the seller and charger. Update 24 November 2019 So had it 4'ish months, it's stopped working, still in excellent condition, I've tried three genuine batteries - nothing. no help available all you get is - your window to return has closed, I have to go direct to Milwaukee to get it sorted.

Unit works fine but the charger that comes with the package does not have a british plug but a 2 pin plug no where is this stated in details

Like other reviewers my iron came with a European 2 pin plug on the charger, but if you don't know how to change a plug or use an adapter, you probably shouldn't be let loose with a soldering iron. This isn't a delicate tool, and you would struggle to use it in a very confined space, but the upside is that it is very sturdy, and stands up by itself giving you a 'third' hand when working. The iron heats up in seconds, and the led lights up your work area. The safe to touch red light once turned off is a very useful feature if you need to change the bit, or want to know when its safe to pack away.

Der beste Akkulötkolben den es Wahrscheinlichkeit gibt. Zu den Positiven sachen schonmal: Er wird schnell warm. Er hat ein wechselakkusystem. Liegt gut in der hand auch wenn man es nicht denkt. Der stand ist mit der erweiterung eines 4Ah oder 6Ah akku sehr gut. Zu den Negativen sachen: Im koffer bekommt man kein weiteren akku oder zubehör unter. Finde ich schon blöd da man ja für sowas grade ein koffer braucht. Die verarbeitung ist nur okay, bin da von anderen herstellern in blau etwas bessere verarbeitung gewöhnt. Wieso sage ich der wahrscheinlich beste akkulötkolben? Nun ja, ich kenne den von Parkside der baugleich ist mit dem roten weller und vermute das die vom selben band gefallen sind. Andere Akkulötkolben sucht man vergebens. Dann gibt es noch die gaslötkolben. Wer die mal genutzt hat weiß das die zwar mobil ganz gut sind. Aber auch an einer seite heiße luft ausstößen und man so ggf. Kunstoff verkohlt. Durch den wechselakku macht das system ein abgerundeten eindruck da das M12 System auch sehr vielseitig ist.
