Nice fit on the jar. The seals are silicon and tend to hold up better than rubber seals. The silicon does not break down like other products.

Beautifully made silicone rings that fit like a glove on my quart sized wide mouth Mason Jar. I use my jar to mix Gatorade for basketball, and have not found any leaks so far.It's been a long journey in finding a water/Gatorade jar that meets my requirements of:- little or no plastic (lid is OK if right type of plastic)- large size (32 oz ideal)- easy to wash after every use.My first purchase was a Rubbermaid plastic bottle that absolutely reeked of plastic. Soaking didn't help. I vowed never to buy plastic bottles again.Then I bought an Ello glass bottle. It was only 20 oz, harder to clean, and grew mold inside hard to reach nooks and crannies within the rubber cap seals. The inside of the bottle was also impossible to reach without a brush.And now, I have come upon what I deem to be the perfect solution. Mason jars are cheap. I bought mine individually for $2, and that's on the high side. The official Ball plastic lids are also cheap and readily available at your local Target (which also sells 12 packs of Mason jars). The hardest part was finding the silicone seal, and these work beautifully!In all, you have a bottle that can:- carry 32 oz of liquid- can be completely dismantled after every use for cleaning- all parts can be thoroughly cleaned each time. Bottle mouth is wide enough to reach your hand into and clean everything inside.The only slight inconveniences are that it requires you to gingerly open when it's full, and it's not as convenient to open and drink. But they are merely slight inconveniences, and I would readily take them over moldy, dirty, or plasticky bottles that require lengthy periodic cleaning.
