Love dates especially pitted ones and yes they are costly, and a treat, and these were a good size container and were delicious, moist and would definitely recommend.

Update 9/21: These are not the same dates. They are simply not as fresh as the 1st order of months ago. I mean they're not really bad. It's just that I was looking forward to the some moist, caramel effect of my 1st order. I realize COVID has changed a lot of things along the supply chain. So to be fair, I don't want to say I won't order them again. I'm just sad to find they're not what they were originally. I think the 1st order was out of Algeria. And, having visited the country-- I know their dates are superb.Original Review: I really didn't expect much of these dates, owing primarily to the cheap, plastic container, but I've gotta say I'm very happy I bought them. They're exactly what they should be, irrespective of container, as described in my title. Intend to buy again when these run out.

I like my dates a bit on the mushy side. I guess some people consider that over ripe. I leave these ones out of the refrigerator for a week or so and they ripen up. Good and sweet!

When I opened the shipping package and saw these dates, I was pleased with my purchase even before taking a bite. They were fresh and looked delicious. My tongue agreed with my eyes.I will be regularly buying these pitted dates from THIS company, as they have many healthful benefits.

I enjoy dates daily in my oatmeal. I have purchased other brands but these didn’t have as many issues as others. A few might be dry on the inside but that is the only problem. I have had none with bugs in them. Another brand I did. They are delicious.

I can't return this item according to the rules. No problem, since I threw away the third delivery because they were dry like leather. Beware! The first delivery was excellent. The dates in the first container were very fresh and tasty. The next one, the following month, was less fresh. Threw away about 25%. The latest one is dried out, shriveled up, and disgusting. Will throw away about 75%. No more dates for me and my Pit Bull.

Oh my goodness but these are good! They arrived a few days ago and I am working from home - not quite ready for dinner but hungry so I thought I'd open the package of dates. They are well presented in their container, they are soft, fresh and oh so very good! I recommend these dates with tremendous enthusiasm.

Seems as though the deglet noor dates get bad reviews for being dry and or thick skinned compared to other varieties. These are good. They are moist sweet yummy dates and I don't find the skins "thick" at all. They are NOT candied or Madjool dates so don't expect that. Kwitjer whining Karens. Good bang for the buck sez me.
