Dr Quinn Medicine Woman is the best series ever made
I love this series. it's real, educational, entertaining, - everything a series should have.I have all the seasons except season 5, that never seems to be available.I get them season by season rather then the complete series in one unit, since the discs in thecomplete unit do not work as well. Getting the individual seasons work perfectly.Amazon gets the orders to you very quickly. Service is great.

Dr. Quinn is wonderful, perfect for the whole family.
I now own all six seasons of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman on DVD. I can tell you that the cost was completely worth it. I grew up watching "Little House on the Prairie" with my parents. It was one of many tv shows on in the mid to late 70's that was family oriented. Dr. Quinn picked up that family oriented theme in the mid-90's, but was one of few that did. I was at the end of my college career when Dr. Quinn came on tv, just getting married. I was very sorry when it went off the air, as I know that family oriented programming was becoming a thing of the past. Now I have two children, ages 4 and 1 1/2, and I don't watch any family programming with them, as my parents did with me and "Little House", because there isn't any! It's all reality based or it's too scarry. There is nothing that we can all sit down and watch as a family. I even feel some of the movies Disney is putting out are right on the line. However, since I have Dr. Quinn on DVD, we sit down as a family and watch. It is one show I can count on to be ok for my family. So, if you are looking for wholesome, exciting drama (with a nice love story), Dr. Quinn is it! There isn't one episode that I don't like. It's too bad this kind of programming is extinct.

Much More Edgy Season
I agree with all of Laurie's comments. I have loved Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman since its original run on CBS and the dvd's are great! Although I thoroughly enjoyed the entire series, season 6 was my least favorite because of the tragedies, violence and deaths of major characters in some of those episodes. I hated the way Hank became a meaner person, but I liked the softening of Jake's rough edges. The episodes in which Sully was presumed dead by the townsfolk, but Michaela knew the truth were used for all the mileage possible, and I was glad when that ended and he could return home. The "edgier" feel of season six was because the executives at CBS decided that they wanted to appeal to a different demographic that included more males in the viewing audience. I'm not sure this can be blamed completely upon the writers. Then the network suddenly decided to cancel all family-friendly programming, and Dr. Quinn Medicine Womangot the ax.Season six is still enjoyable to watch and is a must for all loyal fans of the series! I loved the last episode in which Colleen and Andrew were married!

Good season, but poor sound quality
I love every season of Dr. Quinn, so I was excited to be able to complete my collection with the final season. I had previously ordered it off eBay a year ago, but ended up returning it because of problems with the sound. So I waited and ordered off Amazon, only to discover that the same poor sound quality was still a problem a year later. The biggest problem is some loud clicks that randomly appear. Most of the time, they don't interfere with the dialogue. They are certainly annoying, but not enough to merit returning the season for a second time for a problem that doesn't seem like it will get any better any time soon. So, overall...the season is a good one. But the disappointment lies in the quality of the DVDs for this particular season that was put out by A&E. It definitely needs to be fixed!

I love how its family oriented as well as its depictions ...
I used to watch the series when I was a kid and after re-watching episodes online, began buying the seasons. I love how its family oriented as well as its depictions of that time era. This was the last season I had yet to buy and watch. Overall, I didn’t care for it very much. It’s okay, but too much changes; Characters die or are absent for most of the season and its anticlimactic, especially following previous seasons and topics.

Depressing.
Still a good family show. But this season is like so depressing. We were putting bets down on who was going to die next. You can tell they were winding down and the show ran its course.

Best music score ever!
Finally, I have my season 6 of this wonderful series! Great cast, beautiful stories, but, the thing I REALLY love about this series is the MUSIC! Never, on any other TV western has there been such a wonderful score! Absolute genius! Even the comical interlude with the dobro, fits the situation perfectly! 5 stars is my vote!!!

As it was on the TV
I have bought every Dr Quinn series and enjoyed every episode much to my boyfriends dismay... It takes a very long time and so much hogging of the TV for me to watch all 6 series and 2 films...
