What a GREAT Tote Bag! The Large size is exactly as big as it looks in the picture - it's huge! The smaller size bag is perfect as a large purse for us women who want a large purse. I love the deep end pockets, which are perfect for carrying a bottle of water or umbrella. Be advised, this is not a purse that can be made in 1 day. There are a lot of pieces and a lot of fusing of interfacing needed (prep work) before you can begin sewing. So when making, plan on 1 day for cutting & fusing and the second day for sewing. But, honestly, well worth the effort. Love it!

Just what I wanted using it for a beach bag

Not for the novice sewer
My problem is not with the pattern, but with my level of expertise. I looked it over, carefully, and decided to send the pattern back, unopened. I am just learning to sew and thought this pattern would help me to the step beyond pillow cases. Think not.
