I bought the Winunite 16.4ft (5m) Car Door Edge Guards in black for my Jeep Wrangler JK, and so far I’m really happy with it. Before this, I made the mistake of buying a door edge guard from an auto parts store that had glue/adhesive on the inside. After a few months, it started to peel and rip off, which was frustrating. This one from Amazon has been a much better option. It doesn’t rely on glue, so it feels more secure and I’m hoping it will last a lot longer. The material seems like good quality, and it fits nicely along the door edges. Installation was simple, and it gives the Jeep a clean, finished look. It also matches the black trim really well and looks just like the pictures. Overall, a great upgrade and definitely worth it if you want something more durable than the adhesive type.

Clip on door guards were easy to get on and seem to be a good product. Better than adhesive version. Gently tap with a mallet as you go for snug fit. After cutting use small pliers to remove the metal clip at the end because it might scratch the vehicle. Buying extra length allows you to redo any imperfections.

Great product

I used this door edge guard in a non-traditional way, as a protective barrier between the aluminum fuel tank and the metal bed floor on my truck. It works really well for preventing metal-to-metal contact and potential damage. The material is flexible but firm enough to stay in place, and it was easy to cut and install. It provides good coverage and adds a layer of protection where vibration or movement could cause wear over time. I removed one star only because the adhesive could be stronger for heavy-duty applications, but overall it does exactly what I needed it to do. Great value and versatile product.

I have a newer model Mercedes and saw these rubber door protectors on Amazon. They are easy to put on and look very durable. My car is shiny so pictures aren’t great. The 16 ft was enough to do all 4 doors. After I installed it I applied pressure with my thumb and ran my thumb down the edge of the protector. Doing this made the over all look smoother and more professional looking.

Fits nicely along the edges of my 5th-Gen Honda CR-V. Easy to install, simple instructions to follow. You don't really need a mallet, just a regular hammer, and tapping lightly will do the trick. Oh, if you're worried about going around corners, it actually curves around corners pretty well. I was pleasantly surprised. Just make sure you pick a color you like.

I used this to line my bumper of my 4Runner after doing a copper cut. It has metal on the inside which makes it easy to mold and does great with curves. It has no adhesive so it’s not messy and has a cleaner look and hold. Was very easy to cut and put on. Make sure to use a mallet to line it up straight. I like the color was well. The size was great and fit nice and snug. It hasn’t budged at all since I first put it on. Nice and sturdy. Clean finish! Definitely worth the money!

EDIT: I am updating this to 3 stars as proceed with caution. The seller was responsive and met me halfway to address the damage to my car doors. I would consider this more of a permanent addition if you have a car with thinner paint like Hyundai/Kia. I also applied it to my wife’s 2019 Mazda 3 and removed it to clean and there was no damage to the clear coat or paint. Overall it seems to come down to how your factory paint is done and if you ever plan to remove it in the future for more than cleaning. Original Review: If I could go back and never put this on my car I would. Put on a brand new Elantra N to “protect” the doors and it ended up causing more damage in a single week than any chip could. I am now looking at over $500 of correction which on a brand new car. I would have been better off just leaving it be or putting PPF. STAY AWAY IF YOUR CAR IS NEW. I’ve emailed the company and waiting for a response and will update this when I get an email back. My car got very dirty yesterday and I removed these to do a proper clean and wax and found that it completely screwed the clear coat, causing lumps. Look at the photos below if you need proof.

It was easy to install and protects both my car and the neighbours' in the lot.

This product was exactly what I was looking for. It does the job beautifully ., Easy to install.

The strip has soft metal components that sandwich to the door edge to hold it in place. I used a nylon headed hammer to gently tap it into place and cut each length using EMT shears. the 10m length is more than enough to do the four doors and the edge of my rear hatch on my Santa Fe. Cutting and installation was a breeze even with the temperatures just above freezing. The edge is secure and while it won't pop off it will be easy to remove I suspect with pliers. the gloss black finish adds a nice touch to the door trim while also protecting the edge from accidental impact when opening the door.
