In the past I have used elwire to light up my bicycle, hat, costumes and tent. The problem with elwire is that you have to tape it to the areas you want it to hold and they tend to crap out easily, loosing light in areas and they have a noticeable buzzing to them.The copper wire on THESE lights is bendable, making them easy to attach to your bike or wrap around your body. They are VERY PRETTY and easy to wrap up for storage AND they don't get tangled.I have owned many different kinds of battery operated lights and these are by far my favorite, so far! I wish they didn't take three AA batteries, but I have owned some that take C batteries, so I can deal.I would recommend these to festival goers, or someone who needs them as a centerpiece for a party.I wouldn't recommend these to someone who wants to hang lights in their backyard or for nightly lighting. If you are looking for something like that: I would highly recommend solar or lights that plug in.Overall, I love these beautiful lights and I can't wait to use them for my next costume or bike ride!I try to leave the most accurate reviews possible and update my reviews if I experience any changes in my products. These were wonderful the first couple days. After that, all the colorss faded tremendously except for the green ones so now it looks like I only have green lights.I was so excited when I first turned them on I was about to buy more asap. I'm glad I got distracted with life and waited a few days to buy more because now I see that all colors but green works.I guess if you only need bright colors for a day or so these will work for you. But if you actually want something to LAST these are crap.

I ignored the other reviews that talked about the weird color combination and the durability, much to my chagrin. After only three days, I am left with strings where only the green lights up. To begin with, the colors are blue, warm white, green, and PINK. NEON PINK. The pink does not remotely look like it was an attempt to be red. It is just a bizarre color combination, but I thought that I could put up with it, but now that the other colors won't work and it is just green in spots, I am quite dissatisfied. Save yourself the trouble.

These are gorgeous and very easy to put up. Surprisingly bright too! The warm white looks just like old school white string lights. The wire is light And I was able to tack it up in the windows with scotch tape. (It may not hold up for long, but with any luck it’ll make it through the holidays.) I’m not sure yet how long the batteries last (3 AA per string) but I will most likely switch these on when the sun goes down and switch them off when we go to bed to avoid keeping them on all night. Each window was easily bordered by one strand, though my windows are small, and larger windows may need more strands. The multi colored lights are really pretty too. All the old school multi-colored string lights I remember from my childhood were red, yellow, green and blue, but these have replaced the red with pink. It doesn’t bother me, but sometimes little details like that put people off, so I figured it was worth mentioning. I’m writing this review right after opening them and putting them up and am very very happy with them. I’ll update if that changes!

I bought these lights to decorate our golf carts , when we went camping for NewYear. They were so much nicer than i expected . They were bright and the colors were all beautiful . The wire was thin, allowing you to wrap it around anything. They held up great. Had them on the carts for 4 days . Used them during the day time and at night when we all went riding. and they kept their brightness.

For requiring 3 'AA' batteries, I was expecting this product to last longer than a week! I had set these up in my therapy office as part of a seasonal theme for the Holidays. Within 1 week (probably around 25hrs of use), I noticed colors dropping like flies! First it was the blue. Then the yellow. And so on. I thought it was a fluke. That maybe the wiring was off. So, I tried another set and within 9 days, the same thing happened. I gave up at that point. I am lighting a favorite plant at my office for the holiday season. We aren't allowed to use electric lights due to potential wiring issues. I wasn't sure what to expect but the lights are very bright and beautiful. Unexpected color combination with purple, gold, green and blue in the strands I got. Everyone wants to know where I got them. Beautiful - and a great bargain. Will likely buy again.

So I bought these for Halloween to put on trees outside the house. Left the lights on a few nights and they noticably die out and fade. After a couple weeks you could barely see them lit up. Changed the batteries, but its the actual LED light dying. What I will say is they do look amazing when first put up. Very bright and perfect for what I wanted. That is why they got a 3 and not less.
