I bought it for my grandson when he was 7. He and his 5 year old brother 0lay together and both love it

do you need an internet connection to play?

My son uses this and he was able to play without going online, however, it is worth mentioning that most of the ''worlds'' are built on servers which you will need internet to be able to access. Whiteout this, you will have to create the worlds on your own which can take lots and lots of time and not be as much fun!
