The construction and material of our medieval tailcoat is high quality for this much fabric with all functional buttons, quality stitiching and good fabric. Feature: Vest: The built in vest is strong material and nice snap buttons. Good style cut for the top and bottom, good costume for halloween. Collar: The color is more colonial/gothic than dressy. Folded up you have a very pirate/gothic look and folded down looks a little more dressy and colonial. Tails: Tails may be longer than you originally wanted. But worked. Just be careful when knelling as you can end up catching the tails when standing back up. Pockets: External pockets are functional with rounded interior. It's not just a decoration and real internal pockets. You can put keychain/phone in it. Warm Tip: Machine wash or hand wash COLD, and line dry only. Don't dry clean and bleach. Great Beast costume!
Great product! I added gold trim and it transformed into a perfect costume coat for the Beast. Not extremely high quality, but sturdy enough for what I needed as a costume.

Great value!
Purchased a large for a man with a 33 inch waist who normally wears a medium shirt. Used the jacket for a costume, embellished it and it worked great! He is about 5"10 and the length was just right. Sleeves ran a little long. He is slender so jacket buttoned up nicely. Quality of the coat was better than expected.

Great jacket for costume!!!
Read the reviews beforehand and made sure to order up a size. Got this for my boyfriend's costume. He was the brown hare from Alice in Wonderland. Everyone loved this jacket!!!! He got compliments all night! It was perfect for what we needed it for!! We ordered an XL and he had a little room to spare. He wears a size 32-34 in pants, 5'10". Not the best quality of material but if you are using it as a costume, it's perfect.

Weird fit. Meant for someone with small arms and larger stomach
Weird fit. My husband is muscular and bulky in his shoulders and arms with an average abdomen (not a 6-pack but not a gut). These jackets did not fit him. We ordered a small, medium, and large to ensure that we got the proper fit. They were all small in the arms and large in the abdomen. So if that is your body shape then I'm sure it would fit you perfectly. We ended up having to return all 3 of these jackets and order a different Prince costume.

Great for the price!
This is a great costume coat for the price! We went through and re-sewed all the buttons to make them tighter because my son is wearing is as part of his Uncle Drosselmeyer costume for Nutcracker. While dancing, several buttons were loosened and/or popped off. For normal wear, they would have been just fine, FYI.Make sure you measure before you order. My son has incredibly broad shoulders and we had to order the 4x to fit his shoulders. It's a little big in the waist for him but it fits just fine for the show - we need him to lift his arms over his head and bend, so roomy is good. If we'd needed to take it in, that would have been pretty simple because of how it's made. The sleeves were roomy enough to hide his magic tricks up inside and the pockets are real, which comes in handy. We were able to make a simple ascot that fit nicely underneath the coat, too.

Nice Coat for the price but needs a little help
The good: everyone loved the look of this coat. The bad: it is basically one piece of material and it definitely is not ready out of the bag - the buttons are not well attached. In the first try-on, a front button came off and others were likely to as well. I went ahead and re-stitched all the buttons to be safe. FYI: I'm a 42R and bought an XL based on the reviews. I had to have the sides taken in...

One size up
After reading the reviews I ordered two sizes up. Got a 3XL instead of my normal XL. I'm 6'1" and weigh about 190. The triple XL was way too big on me. I sent it back and ordered the XL. It will certainly work but I wish that I had gotten the 2XL. As for the product, it's all one piece, not thick material but also not overly thin. The buttons are all hanging on by a thread. I'll have to reinforce them or they'll fall off. Overall, I basically got what I expected and it will do great for halloween
