Works fine for the most part
Works well for the most part. It has compatibility issue with mechanical keyboard and mouse with macro, which is noted in the manual. After moving the devices to the front usb connection everything works.

Switchable via keyboard shortcut.
I was looking for a way to share a monitor, keyboard and mouse between a desktop and a laptop. The Kinan 2 port VGA KVM Switch fit the bill perfectly. It was quick and easy to connect the 2 computers, shared mouse and keyboard. I was up and running in 5 minutes. It comes with a wired push button switch that allows you to instantaneously toggle between computers. What I love most is the ability to swap with a keyboard shortcut, in lieu of the hardware switch. No problems in the few weeks I've used it. I only wish the cables were a bit longer because of my specific set up, however I don't doubt that they're long enough for most folks. I highly recommend it.

Barely works at all, not recommended
I use this to share KVM between my desktop computer running Linux and a company-provided laptop running Windows 10. I had another brand of KVM switch I had used for this purpose before but I needed to use that for two other computers. Mysteriously, Amazon had that brand of switch but told me it could not ship it to where I lived. No explanation given. I decided to buy this one instead. The problem I have with it is that once you have it connected to the laptop running Windows it has a hard time switching back to the Linux computer. It will do it if you're persistent, but if you push the button to switch most of the time the screen will go blank and then it will connect back to the Windows laptop. The other switch never did this.I have been forced to disconnect the Windows laptop from the switch to get it to switch back at all, and even that is not enough. I have to stand up and look at the indicator lights on the switch, then frantically hit the keyboard during the all too brief moment the light indicates it has switched to my Linux computer. After five or so attempts it recognizes that it is connected to a real computer and does not automatically switch back. For whatever reason I chose to live with it rather than return it. Don't buy this.

Perfect for the setup I need it for
Easy to install and connect my two computers with. Push button for the switch has super long cord which is nice.

Two computers but only one monitor, keyboard and mouse
Easy to hook up. Nice to have two PC's but only one mouse, keyboard and monitor. Really saved space.

USB Issues
The video switching function of this KVM Switch worked fine, however, it has 2 issues with the USB functionality:1. Mouse movement is notchier than without the switch. IE, the cursor skips more vs moving smoothly without the switch.2. With the KVM Switch between my gaming keyboard and computer, the computer would not recognize the gaming keyboard, so I could not use any of the special functions of the keyboard, like custom lighting and macros.
