Dayfever: an Abstract Comic

Found Peter Draws about two weeks ago, his YouTube content has me hooked, had to pick up the comic. It's truly beautiful and has me very excitedly trying to reignite my passion for drawing.

Dayfever is a bizarre and mesmerizing look into Peter's mind. Every line is beautiful (and there are thousands, maybe millions of them to look at) and the mysterious characters and scenes linger in my mind like the last drop of of black coffee on the tongue. I could stare at this short comic for hours and not get bored (and I have done this and I did not get bored) and it really is a one-of-a-kind book. I would love to get a full compilation of Peter's work in a super-high quality, Sotheby's catalog style, large-scale art book edition some day so I can pass it down to my grandchildren and let them feel the same sense of wonder at the strangeness and beauty of the world that this comic inspires in me.

Watched "Peter draws" on his you tube site. Decided to buy one of his books. I bought it to help support his efforts with his you tube site. I feel he is actually better at his art critiques of known artists in history than some of the art instructors/docs of the art dept at a university I attended. Hope he continues making future art critques. The book is interesting and shows his thought process in "just drawing" for the sake of drawing. He is a true artist by many means of thought. He lives, breaths, sleeps, researches art, works commission, processes his books for public purchase, you tubes and sometimes eats with his art. I'm sure if given the opportunity to expand his art to different locations, he would give that thought too. Definitely his own, unique art vision and worth investing in him.

I have been following Peter on his YOUTUBE channel, PETER DRAWS, and I've become a huge fan of his work, or as I like to think watching his videos help lower my blood pressure. He is a talented young man with a soothing voice and a great sense of humor. With almost a million followers, his work speaks for itself. He makes videos about drawing and he often will publish his work, which is how I came to get my hands on DAYFEVER. It's a mesmerizing comic, or as he calls it "abstract comic." It has impressed to no end that Peter has found of way of cutting out the middle man. He produces art he enjoys and distributes it directly to his fans. I highly recommend this and all his other work.

Having been a fan of Peter's YouTube channel for a while, of course I had to order Dayfever and I was not disappointed. Gorgeously drawn and as quirky as you'd expect.

Peter Draws is his YouTube Channel that I highly recommend. He draws and reviews pens and inks, etc. But he does it all with his own flare and humor. His art is amazing and inspired me to start drawing again after switching from tears if graphic art to photography. Just a few months and I’m back in the swing, thanks Peter!

I’ve been a big fan of Peter since I discovered his YouTube channel. I’m happy I’m able to support his art and it’s an excellent little piece to add to the coffee table. Also something I didn’t expect was a soft touch cover which was nice.Peter, if you are reading this, please make another comic with the entire thing colored in. I guess I thought the entire thing would be in color like the amazing job you did on the cover.

I would rate this perfect, if the print quality actually reflected the beautiful lines that Peter Draws draws. But that's what you get with print-on-demand for a mass market book. (Or possibly the file was set up with a too low halfscreen (lpi is a different setting from dpi).)Aside from the print quality, the lines are indeed inspiring, disturbing, fascinating, beautiful, and, as always, all Peter.

Great little comic full of amazing weird art. So happy I have a way to support a fellow artist who I admire greatly and I also get an awesome comic out of it! It's all about the intricate details for the eye and the abstract words that poke the mind out of the ordinary.

Peter Deligdisch is very creative in drawing and writing. I can read this book several times through and i can come up with a different story to go with the images and phrases each time. The whole book is very detailed, and he has a youtube video walkthrough to go with it.

Awesome cover texture which I wasn't expecting. Also, great book made by a truly talented artist.
