Excellent tool
This product works well. The speed is perfect for drilling into metal. It is reversible and variable to boot. I haven't done any drilling over a quarter of an inch in metal, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I now own 4 Chicago Pneumatic tools they are all excellent. The cost is a bit more, but well worth it. Highly recommended.

Nice variable speed trigger, easy to modulate.
It is a little heavy but it's functionalities are worth it, the forward/reverse collar is awesome stays out of the way. It also doubles as a governor for max speed in both forward and reverse, combine that with the nice variable speed trigger it has.. highly recommended

Good quality. Works as intended. Reasonable price.
This is my 5th CP air tool. My other CP tools are 40 years old and still work like new. I used this right angle air drill to cut through a metal cabinet using a metal hole saw. Like a hot knife through butter.

It’s perfect for the job I’m doing at work

Fantastic drill, highly recommend it!
Absolutely love this drill, the easy reverse feature is great when your hands are jammed in a tight spot. I use this alot when doing exhaust manifolds and drilling out broken exhaust studs in VERY tight spaces. I would highly recommend this drill!

Product came in chipped and looks used…

Very Impressed
I must admit I am surprised with this tool. I tried a IR version that is very similar but no variable speed. This drill not only has variable speed control, you can even drive wood screws at the lower speeds and it has plenty of power. You must have variable speed to drill in steel, trying to drill @ 2000 rpm in steel is just a recipe for disaster. You would surely wind up with a burnt up drill bit and the metal you were trying to drill would be too hard to drill with anything! I am a 30+ year auto mechanic and I have used my share of air tools, I still have many decades old air tools that still work and many are CP. I expected them to be going down in quality as so many things are today but this tool is well made, part composite but mostly metal. Many reviewers have been disappointed with the chuck, although mine seems fine, no missing teeth or loose key fit, it also doesn't appear to be the best chuck. I have an old CP 3/8" pistol type air drill that has a commercial Jacobs chuck and although it is very worn but you can see the huge quality difference. In automotive or any hard use I believe the chuck will most likely be the first thing to fail. These drills are obviously designed to fit tight spaces and that it does that well, 3 1/2" high at chuck I would highly recommend this drill. It is made in Taiwan if that is a concern for you...

Another Great Tool from Chicago Pneumatic
Works great, like the feel, not too noisy for an pneumatic drill. Great value for the money and it is reversible.
