Innovative Percussion MB-3 Large Mallet Tour Bag (Cordura)

This mallet bag is amazing. While I am not a professional mallet percussionist, I have certainly enjoyed having easy access to several of pairs of various models of drumsticks, mallets and even small percussion instruments. In this bag, I currently have:14 pairs of drumsticks ranging in length.3 pairs of MARCHING drumsticks (quite a bit thicker).2 pairs of yarn mallets.1 pair of combination mallets/sticks.2 pairs of Rutes.1 pair of Calato Blasticks1 pair of Jazz Brushes1 pair of rosewood claves1 pair of CastanetsThat's just in the main stick area. In the two external zip up pouches, I have a full size double-sided ReelFeel Practice Pad as well as two LP Jam Blocks, a pair of Egg Shakers, a spare hi-hat rod, a metronome and several drumkeys.The bag is incredibly well constructed and is taking the daily beating that I dole out. The inside is lined with a nice soft material and includes a padded covering to protect your mallets.Anyone who complains about the size simply did not do their due diligence when it comes to research. This bag is the BOMB.

Pros: Large, holds 16 pairs of mallets. Two of these cover a whole marimba. Its also padded and the zipper feels sturdy compared to some other percussion bags I've used in the past.Cons: Price. The fabric feels pretty cheap for the price it comes at and the other reviews regarding durability might be cause for concern for those looking to use this for travel. (Mine are hanging from my Marimba and don't ever move)

Bag was for a 14yr old that is on drum line. Bag was extremely large and will not be carried to school daily.

If you are looking for a giant stick bag that can hold a significant amount of mallets/sticks, music, drum pads, and anything else you need to lug around, except drums of course :), look no further! I have been accruing more and more mallets and sticks now that I have gotten into college and become a serious percussionist. I needed a bigger stick bag for not only my stick but also my drum pads and music. If you are looking into getting a new stick bag to carry all your junk around in, the Innovative Percussion MB-3 stick bag is definitely your bag!

Not durable. First one ripped apart. Zipper broke on second one. Apparently not able withstand daily usage by middle school percussionists.

Quite possibly the roomiest stick/mallet bag on the market. Survives about a year of use. My son was more careful this year, but the zipper came apart again.The bag protected his sticks and mallets from all the rough handling the TSA could dish out at DFW and O'Hare.The cordura is not as heavy/durable as it should be. The zipper will eventually separateTwo pairs of Vibe mallets, two pairs of Marimba mallets, Xylo mallets, one pair each of harder and softer Marimba mallets, Concert snare sticks, Marching snare sticks, Tenor mallets and sticks, brushes, Hot Rods, and two sets of timpani mallets all fit. You could probably fit bass drum mallets in there too. I can't imagine this bag being too small for anyone.

This is a well made drum stick bag. The problem was it was too big. My son wanted to be able to carry his sticks and music book at once in this bag. It turns out it was big enough to use as a tent. This bag would be perfect for a mallet percussionist that has to carry dozens of mallets for vibes and marimba.
