SizzixBigz BIGkick/Big Shot Die by Tim Holtz, Elegant Flourishes

I'm a fan of many of the Tim Holtz dies and embossing folders available from Sizzix; but I believe this one is one of my favorites. Flourishes and scrollwork always add an elegant, but understated, feel to any type of mixed media. I've used it for cutting cardstock and grungeboard with good results. Recently, I used it to cut out lightweight copper to add to a shadowbox that a friend was assembling to commemorate her child who had died unexpectedly in her 20s. Amidst favorite photos, pressed flowers, and treasured keepsakes, the elegant flourishes helped to tie it all together.

This die is just the cutest die! It is heavy duty and works well with both my vagabond die cutter as well as witTh my large Accucut cutter by just adding a shim. I have been able to use the die as intended and also have used elements of the die for other projects. I would not hesitate recommending it. 5 stars on this one!

I have an Accucut Grandmark 2 and use thin dies with additional plates and shims. That said, some tend to be a bit of a problem. This die was a real shocker. It cuts clean, sharp, easily and all with one pass. It is now my favorite flourish die.

I love Sizzix Bigz! I really hate buying other dies because you can use lightweight chipboard with the Bigz. I do have trouble using a medium weight (57/58pt). But the lightweight (24pt) works really well.

I don't think it is possible to go wrong with any of Tim Holtz's Sizzix items. They are a must have item for all scrappers. I have both the Sizzix and Cricut and I will admit, the Sizzix dies are much quicker and easier for these everyday cuts.

Just used it today - the flourishes are more dramatic than they look. Nice clean cuts. I will be using this often!

The design of the die is a must have. And because it's a steel rule die you have no problems with clean cuts. One of my favorite dies, the paper artist flourish is my favorite.

Love this item! I am a quilter and scrapbooker so it will come in handy for both. I haven't tried it yet but if it cuts like all the other dies it will make beautiful quilt projects.
