Exactly what I expected & needed for my use.
This fits my Sig Sauer P365X(L) with Wilson Combat grip module. No problems. It fits snug and secure. I was a little concerned with it being fastened with only a single screw, but it grips nicely onto grip module such that the screw really only needs to hold the two halves tightly together. It holds securely / reliably. It seems well made / sturdy / durable. I got this to be able to mount a Mantis X3 for training, and it works fine for that purpose. Note that I'm NOT using this to mount a weapon light for EDC. I have a light that mounts directly to the grip module. So, I'm using this ONLY when training with the Mantis X. I presume this would hold up under EDC use, but I can't confirm that. Since I'm putting it on and taking it off frequently for training, it seems inevitable that I'll lose the nut at some point. I appreciate that this came with an extra nut & screw. I was a little concerned that it would throw off the weight balance by moving the attachment further away (down) from the slide, but it seems fine - not too thick.

Great quality, Strudy & Rugged Material A+ Company!!!
**UPDATED please read all** I must have ended up with a defective one. Yes it is extremely easy to install, and yes it is very affordable. Also the construction seems to be of sturdy quality. However, on one side of the gun once mounted, it fits slightly crooked and misaligned. Almost like warped from manufacturing and is slight off. The side profile fits on one side and seems to flow flawlessly with the slide, while on the warped side it dips down towards the barrel..... I really wanted to give this a great review as I really liked having the option. Plus it does look really nice on the gun. ** UPDATE** Gunsmith was able to file some material down, and heat the material to fix the warped side. Fits much better just slightly loose. However, the slide does not jam now and the one side no longer bulges out. Spoke with another individual who also purchased for his and it mounted right on with no issues. Reached out to company just in case mine was a fluke. Company responded back almost instantly and is sending a new one at no cost as this is not a known issue. Also, they reviewed pictures of what the Gunsmith shaved off and were concerned about the material the gunsmith removed. If you have any issues at all please reach out to company first! They are responsive and truly care about the product they put out. Would highly recommend!!! *** Just got new one in mail, mounted up perfectly, no issues!!!

Very good product, definitely worth it, though just a bit too short
Overall I really like this. It was *very* easy and quick to install and looks good. I'm glad I bought it. My only complaint (and yes, I'm being a little picky here) is that it is just a tad short and there really aren't any budget light options that work. Rather than paying too much for a relatively low-power light with no upgrade path that only works for one gun (I'm looking at you, TLR-6), I decided to get this rail along with a light that I could use on my shield but also use elsewhere. The question was - what inexpensive starter light could I buy for this rail? There is a customer question that asked if there are any inexpensive lights that fit the rail. The answer, by none other than Recover Tactical itself, gave a link directly to the "Ade Advanced Optics PL200" light, so I thought I'd hit the jackpot for an entry-level light and I bought one and I bought this rail. The ADE light is a very reasonably priced, simple, but bright 400 lumen light that I am happy with in and of itself, but it does NOT FIT ON THIS RAIL!!! I thought maybe a design change, but no, the Q&A was from just a month before I ordered both. I considered returning the light, but the cheapest light on the compatible list for this rail is (as of this writing) 2.5 times the price and this one at least can be used for other things as well. I was able to get an inexpensive riser that allows the light to work, but it feels like a hack and it was So yes, I would recommend this rail. I would have given 5 stars for the rail itself, but I have to deduct one for a misleading recommendation from the manufacturer.

Looks and Works Great!
Despite the horrible experience with the M9/92FS Recover rail, this one for the G17 works very well. Snug fit, but I'd argue that this is better [in some ways] than having a Gen3-5 rail. This rail accommodates for the angle of the frame as it graduates towards the muzzle so it can essentially make the rail parallel to the slide. On Glock rails however, they tend to pignose and aren't the most study rails. I would argue this Recover rail creates a more stable platform than the Gen3-5's. Easy to install and it doesn't seem to damage the frame at all. Lights will sit very slightly more forward on Glock-specific lights/attachments, but in other cases, the ability to use a 1913 rail on a Glock makes it sit about where it would normally. In all cases, however, the light will sit lower down because the attachment point is about a half inch lower than a Glock rail would be. In some cases again though, this actually helps. Worth the money, and if you're a Gen 1/2 owner or loyalist, this is a great addition that makes the frame even sturdier and IMO looks better than a Glock rail. FYI I did for the hell of it try it fit this on my G21 Gen2 and it wouldn't fit. As others have said, it would work with some time and a Dremel, but I personally wouldn't try it unless you're desperate and have patience to remove the right amount of material from what would be at least 4 areas. I did sand some areas with 1500 grit sandpaper just to smooth out some areas that the slide will touch, but it was barely needed--if at all. Thumbs up.

It added a few practical enhancements & made my Shield 9 (1st gen) looks cool.
Update: The rail held up well at the range. The slide cycled smoothly without any issue. I also found a small tactical light with green laser that fits this small rail perfectly. OLight is great, but it is way too much for my budget. The QR-GL10 light works just as well in my opinion, too bad they don’t let me post any pictures of firearm, because it looks pretty good. I like my S&W Shield 9 a lot because of its thin profile and its small compact size. However, it doesn’t have a picstinny rail for installing a tactical light. I never know if I ever need it at night during an emergency, so better to have it. The SHR9 fits my shield 9 like a pair of gloves. I am very impressed by its looks. It actually made my small subcompact pistol looks more stylish and futuristic. I also like that it has a designated area for resting my finger when my index finger is out of the trigger guard. Installation took less than 5 minutes. Will update after I take it to the range for real torture test.

**BUYERS BEWARE**
This product is great looking, slim profile, and easy to install as advertised. Here is the lesson I learned the hard way .... I purchased this product to work with my Streamlight TLR-8A. It all appeared to install properly meaning it sat on the rails and was tightened properly. I took it to the range last week and after two rounds the light/laser fell to the ground and put a ding on the light bezel. I thought maybe it was user error and I didn't tight properly. I installed it a second time at the range and the same thing happened, two rounds down the range and light went flying down to the ground. Kudos to Streamlight for creating a tough bezel! Unfortunately for me, I went home frustrated and submitted for a return/refund. I decided to do additional research on the Recover Tactical website and came across the Key for Streamlight TLR 7 and 8 enabling compatibility for all Recover tactical compact rails. I decided to give Recover Tactical a second chance, not only did I purchase the Key but I also opted for the upgrade pack which includes the rail adapter, charging handle, and mag clip which they state is compatible with the G48. The adapter is the only item that was compatible and currently working on returning all items back. The customer service experience with Mike R is terrible at Recover Tactical. He does not work with you to solve problems rather replies (super fast - only plus I'll give) with simple matter of fact statements. After returning these items which I have to pay shipping for both ways I will never do business with them again. If you navigate to their website and click on the 'Refund & Warranty Policy' you will see they intentionally leave out any info regarding refunds and only show information regarding their warranty.
