This bobbin lace guide is worth the cost. It's the best for clear instruction and enlarged photo examples. I've purchased 5 different bobbin lace books and only this one I consider a treasure.

This in an excellently informative book for people who are already hooked on making bobbin lace. Lots of different techniques and styles, and much info on how to design one's own patterns, plus make the pillows and bobbins that are necessary.I know that I plan to work through projects in more beginner-friendly books before taking any of these on... but this is still a great resource.

Dover offers this reprint of an old classic. Don't expect great illustration because you won't find them in this book. What you will find is basic information and techniques on numerous lace styles. Great reference particularly for the price.
